On Monday, June 14, 2010, at approximately 3:02 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a injury crash involving a semi truck hauling food products on US 95 approximately 14 miles north of New Meadows, ID.

Justin Lamke, 35 years old of Boise, ID, was northbound on US 95 at mile post 175 in a 2001 Volvo Semi Tractor hauling a trailer loaded with food products. Lamke failed to negotiate a left hand corner and hit the guardrail. The trailer rolled over, coming to rest in the lane of travel and the tractor slid off the side of the road and over an embankment. The road was closed periodically for 3 hours while the crash was investigated and the vehicle was removed. Approximately 25 gallons of diesel spilled from one of the tractor's fuel tanks into the dirt on the side of the road. Lamke was taken to the McCall Hospital where he was treated and released. Lamke was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Adams County Jail. The crash remains under investigation by Cpl. Mike Nauman.
