Idaho State Police is investigating a crash which occurred at approximately 5:16 p.m., on Sunday, October 29, 2023, on US-20 near milepost 325, the Menan-Lorenzo overpass, in Jefferson County.
A 30-year-old male, from Rexburg, was driving a 2021 Chevy Silverado westbound on US-20. Near milepost 328 he struck the back of a 2007 Buick Lucerne and continued driving westbound. At approximately milepost 325 the Chevy struck the barrier and rolled.
The driver of the Chevy was transported via air med to a local hospital. He was wearing a seatbelt.
The westbound lanes of US-20 were blocked for approximately two and a half hours.
Idaho State Police were assisted by the Madison County Sheriff's Office, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Central Fire Ambulance, Rigby QRU, Air Idaho Rescue, and the Idaho Transportation Department.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

A juvenile driving a 2002 Honda Odyssey was travelling northbound on 2000 E. They failed to yield at the stop sign while trying to cross US26 and were struck by a 2000 Ford Excursion. The Ford was driven by a 50-year-old male from Wendell, that was travelling westbound on US26. The Honda then went off the north shoulder and struck an unoccupied Backhoe.
The driver of the Honda was wearing a seatbelt and one of the juvenile passengers was not. The juvenile driver was transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital. The juvenile passenger was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital, then transported via air ambulance to another hospital.
Two additional juveniles from the Honda, wearing seatbelts, were pronounced deceased at scene.

Critical Incident Task Force Investigates Fatal Pedestrian Crash
Detectives with the Critical Incident Task Force are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash near Malta, Idaho, on State Highway 81 that involved an Idaho State Police trooper.
CASSIA COUNTY, Idaho - The Critical Incident Task Force (CITF) is investigating a fatal car versus pedestrian collision involving an Idaho State Police (ISP) trooper north of Malta, Idaho.
Just before 10:30 p.m. on October 25th, 2023, an ISP trooper was responding to assist a motorist on State Highway 81 in Cassia County, Idaho. At about milepost 4, the trooper struck a female pedestrian in the roadway with his patrol car. The trooper immediately stopped and administered CPR until Malta EMS arrived and assumed emergency medical treatment for the female.
The female, a 41-year-old from Malta, Idaho, succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The Cassia County Coroner's Office took custody of the female to determine her identity as well as the cause and manner of death.
At the scene, ISP was assisted by Malta Ambulance, Malta Quick Response Unit, Cassia County Coroner's Office, the Cassia County Sheriff's Office, and the Idaho Transportation Department.
The roadway was closed for almost six hours during the investigation.
The Critical Incident Task Force (CITF) is investigating, with the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office taking the lead. CITF is a team of investigators and professional staff from local law enforcement agencies who provide investigative and other assistance to law enforcement agencies in police use of force and other critical incidents. The CITF works with the local Prosecutor's Office, which reviews completed investigations.

Idaho State Police are investigating a single vehicle collision that occurred October 24th, 2023 at 3:32 PM at US95 southbound near mp 312 at Escape Ramp 5 near Lewiston in Nez Perce County. A 2014 Volvo semi tractor hauling a loaded flatbed trailer of lumber was driven by a 55-year-old male from Nampa, ID. The semi was traveling at high rate of speed, lost control, overturned and came to rest in Escape Ramp 5. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The highway was blocked for approximately 12 hours for investigation and recovery of the vehicle and lumber. Next of Kin was notified by Canyon County Coroners Office. The investigation is still under investigation.

Idaho State Police are investigating a collision which occurred on Sunday October 22, 2023, at approximately 3:42 P.M. at the intersection of Lone Star Rd. and S. Indiana Ave. just south of Caldwell.
A 2015 Honda ST1300 Motorcycle driven by a 60-year-old male from Nampa, was traveling west on Lone Star when it left the right shoulder of the roadway and crashed.
The male succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.
The roadway was blocked for approximately three hours while emergency responders worked to clear the scene.
This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police are investigating a three-vehicle collision which occurred on October 22, 2023, at approximately 5:30 A.M. on westbound Interstate 84, near mile post 18.5, southwest of New Plymouth.
A 2009 Nissan Rogue, driven by a 30-year-old male from Caldwell, was stopped on the right shoulder of westbound I84. While attempting to re-enter traffic, the Rogue was struck by a 2021 Cascadia Freightliner semi, driven by a 48-year-old male from Candler, North Carolina. The Cascadia was also occupied by a 58-year-old male from Hickory, North Carolina. A 2020 Freightliner tractor trailer, pulled off to the right shoulder, to avoid the collision with the other two vehicles and slid down the embankment and onto its side. The 2020 freightliner was being driven by a 49-year-old male from Garner, North Carolina.
The driver and passenger of the Cascadia semi were transported to a local area hospital via ground ambulance.
Traffic on I84 was blocked for approximately 10.5 hours, allowing for emergency responders and tow trucks to assist those involved and clear the scene.

A 27-year-old male from Lubbock, Texas, was travelling eastbound on Interstate 84 in a 2011 Ford Edge. The vehicle drove off the left shoulder of the roadway, overcorrected and rolled.

The Idaho State Police are investigating a six-vehicle fatality crash that occurred on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at approximately 6:57 a.m., at the intersection of South Yellowstone Highway and West 49th South, in Idaho Falls.
A 2013 Ford Taurus, driven by a 18 year old female, from Basalt, entered the intersection and was struck by a westbound 2000 Kenworth semi-truck with two trailers, driven by a 27 year old male, from Blackfoot.
Both vehicles crossed into the eastbound lanes striking the following vehicles:
A 2013 Ford F150 pickup, driven by a 38-year-old male, from Idaho Falls,
A 2012 Hyundai Genesis, driven by a 22-year-old male, from Shelley,

Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle fatal collision that occurred just before 6:09 AM on Oct. 19th, 2023, in Bonner County, Idaho. The crash occurred on State Highway 41 near mile post 20, just north of Spirit Lake. A 39 year old male, from Coeur D? Alene, Idaho, was driving a white 2016 Ford 150 pickup, northbound on State Highway 41, when he left the roadway and entered the northbound ditch, the vehicle then came back onto the roadway, went left of center and entered the southbound lane. A 48 year old man, from Chewelah, Washington, driving a 1987 Kenworth Log truck, was traveling southbound on State Highway 41. The Ford F150 struck the Kenworth Log truck head-on. The driver of the F150 was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. The driver of the F150 was pronounced dead on-scene. The driver of the Kenworth did not sustain injuries. The Idaho State Police would like to thank you for the tips generated after our Wireless Emergency Alert yesterday. After a tip from the public this afternoon, Jesse Spegal was taken into custody. Spegal had multiple felony warrants and had fled from police on 10/17/2023.
After the pursuit, the Idaho State Police issued a Wireless Emergency Alert to notify Kootenai County Residents of the Law Enforcement Warning. This was the first time ISP has utilized the system and we expect to use the system more for local emergencies. Regional Communication Center Coordinator Melissa Stroh stated there were many questions regarding this system on social media. This is the same system an AMBER Alert is issued on, however, local area emergencies or Endangered Missing People alerts can be scaled down to a County or a very targeted area. This system does not have to be signed up for, however, if you opt-out on your cellular device you will not receive the alerts. In the future, if the ISP issues the alert, we will follow it up with a media release containing photos and/or updates. The Idaho State Police is investigating a four-vehicle fatality crash which occurred at approximately 7:14 a.m., on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the junction of US93 and SH25, in Jerome County.
A 35-year-old male from Mexico was driving a 2010 Dodge Caravan westbound on SH25 and failed to yield at the stop sign. A 48-year-old male from Twin Falls was driving a 2006 Autocar garbage truck northbound on US93 and collided with the Caravan.
A 30-year-old male was driving a 1993 GMC Sierra pickup southbound on US93. The Sierra slowed down for traffic, when a 32-year-old woman from Shoshone, who was driving a 2013 Dodge Dart rear ended the pickup.
The driver of the Dodge Caravan and three of his passengers who were not wearing a seat-belt, and succumbed to their injuries.
The passengers of the Dodge Caravan are:
A 33-year-old female from Chihuahua, Mexico. A 20-year-old male from San Luis Potosi, Mexico. A 21-year-old male from Veracruz, Mexico.
One passenger of the Dodge Caravan, a 33-year-old male from Juarez, Mexico was transported via air ambulance to a local hospital. Another passenger of the Dodge Caravan, a 32-year-old female from Idaho Falls was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital. These passengers were also not wearing a seat-belt.
The occupants of the GMC and the Dodge Dart self-transported to a local hospital. All occupants of the GMC and Dart wore a seat-belt.
Lanes of travel were blocked for approximately five and a half hours to allow emergency personnel to assist those involved and clear the scene.
Idaho State Police were assisted by Jerome County Sheriff's Office, Jerome Police Department, Idaho Transportation Department, Jerome Rural Fire, Magic Valley Paramedics, and Air Saint Luke's.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision that happened at approximately 8:49 PM, on October 12th, 2023, on US20 and Ernest Drive, in Bonneville County.
A Chevrolet El Camino was traveling westbound on US20 when it collided with a Chevrolet Silverado that failed to yield when entering the highway from Ernest Drive. The El Camino was driven by a 17-year-old male with an 18-year-old male passenger, both from Idaho Falls. The Silverado was driven by a 51-year-old male and occupied by a 47-year-old female, and two juvenile passengers, all from Idaho Falls. All occupants from both vehicles were transported to a nearby hospital via ground ambulance. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts.

Idaho State Police is investigating a collision which occurred at 3:09 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Fillmore Street and Poleline Road, in Twin Falls County.
A 65-year-old-male from Rupert, was traveling eastbound on pole line in a 2000 Freightliner semi with a single trailer. A 66-year-old-male, and a 63-year-old-female passenger, both from Pleasant Grove, Utah, was traveling westbound in a 2019 Chevy Silverado.
The Chevy was making a U-turn, when the Freightliner failed to stop for the traffic control device and collided in the intersection, where the trailer overturned.
The drivers of both vehicles were transported via ground ambulance and the passenger of the Chevy was transported via air ambulance to a local hospital.
All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
The intersection was blocked for 4 hours and 45 minutes.
Idaho State Police was assisted by Twin Falls Police Department, Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office, Idaho Transportation Department, and Twin Falls Street Department.

Idaho State Police are investigating a fatality collision that occurred at 10:46 am on October 3, on northbound State Highway 16 at milepost 109, south of Emmett, in Gem County.
A 36-year-old-male of Emmett was driving southbound on State Highway 16 in a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred Monday, October 2, 2023, at 7:54 a.m., on US95 at milepost 101, in Washington County.
A silver Dodge Caravan, driven by a 47-year-old male from Nampa, and a male passenger, was traveling northbound on US95. A blue Dodge Caravan, driven by a 51-year-old female from Midvale, and a 23-year-old male passenger from Logan, Utah, was traveling southbound. The silver Dodge crossed left of center and collided with the blue Dodge head-on.

A 28-year-old-man from Portland, Oregon was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on Interstate 84 when he drove onto the right shoulder. The Chevrolet rear-ended a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe which was stationary on the shoulder. The Chevrolet rolled several times before coming to rest on the south Frontage Road.
The Hyundai had three occupants at the time of the collision.
The driver of the Chevrolet was transported via ground ambulance, then air ambulance, to a local hospital. The occupants of the Hyundai were not transported.
The driver of the Chevrolet was not wearing a seat-belt.
The eastbound I-84 lanes were partially blocked for approximately three hours allowing emergency responders to assist those involved and clear the scene.
