On Wednesday, June 30, 2015, at approximately 3:50 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 at the Cole on ramp.

Marylinn Munson, 51, of Boise, was driving a 2000 Dodge Stratus. Frank Pineda, 42, of Caldwell, driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup. Both vehicles were driving on the Cole on ramp to enter Interstate 84 westbound when the pickup struck the rear end of the stratus.

Munson's passenger, Adele Munson, 93, of Oregon, was transported via ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. All of the occupants in both vehicles were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. The onramp was blocked for approximately one hour while crews worked to clear the scene.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at approximately 4:03 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle motorcycle crash eastbound on I84 near milepost 80, in Elmore County.

Troy D. Brown, 48 of Blue Springs, MO, was driving a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on I84 near milepost 80. The motorcycle left the roadway, off the left shoulder, and into the median. Brown lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle. Brown was not wearing a helmet.

Brown was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.

On Monday, June 29, 2015, at approximately 7:01 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a five-vehicle crash eastbound I-84 at milepost 168 in Jerome. Marquis Benson, 18, of Twin Falls, was travelling eastbound in a 1989 Chevy C2500 pickup when he slowed down due to weather in the area. Charlene Veatch, 67, of Twin Falls, was travelling in a 2015 Ford Fiesta and struck the back of the pickup. Robert Veatch, 66, of Twin Falls, was travelling in a 2015 Ford Focus and struck the back of the Fiesta. Jaime Russell, 35, of Lake Isabella, Ca, was travelling in a 2001 Honda Accord and struck the back of the Focus. Kimberleigh Otter, 38, of Boise, was travelling in a 2009 Dodge Caravan and struck the back of Accord.

Russell was transported by ground ambulance to St Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls.

It is unknown if Russell was wearing her seatbelt. The other ford drivers were all wearing their seatbelts. This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Monday, June 29, 2015, at 6:18 p.m. the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash on State Highway 34 at milepost 65 in Caribou County near Soda Springs.

Terry E. Laeger, age 60 of Pocatello, was driving southbound on State Highway 34 in a 2007 Freightliner semi hauling miscellaneous salvage when he became distracted by something inside the vehicle. Laeger realized he was starting to go off the right shoulder, overcorrected, and then lost control going into the northbound lanes of the highway. Both the tractor and trailer rolled off the right shoulder of the northbound lanes. Laeger was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported by ground ambulance to Caribou Memorial Hospital.

The northbound lanes of State Highway 34 were blocked for approximately 2.5 hours. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Semi crash involving Bees

On Sunday, June 28, 2015, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash near the intersection of Schritter Road and Funk Road, in Power County.

Serafin Gutierrez, age 32, of American Falls, was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup northbound on Schritter Road near the intersection of Funk Road, about 9 miles west of Aberdeen, in Power County. Gutierrez lost control of the vehicle, drove off the left side of the road and rolled. Gutierrez was not wearing a seatbelt and was declared deceased at the scene. Alcohol was involved in the crash.

Notifications to Gutierrez's family has been made. The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police. Idaho State Police was assisted by the Power County Sheriff's Office.

On Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 11:25 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle fatality crash on US Highway 26 at milepost 158, east of Gooding. Jose Rosales-Zayas, age 42, of Hailey, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane, in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala. Grant Corey, age 36, of Filer, was traveling westbound in a commercial truck pulling a trailer hauling milk. Corey swerved to avoid a collision with Rosales-Zayas and the Impala impacted the right rear axels of the trailer, head-on.

Rosales-Zayas succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Corey was wearing a seatbelt and was not transported.

Both directions of the highway were blocked for approximately four and a half hours while the scene was cleared.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

The driver of the Chevrolet pickup was a 16-year-old juvenile. The passengers were Luke Harris, 20, of Laramie, Wyoming, and Christopher Scott, 21, of Conifer, Colorado. Harris succumbed to his injuries at the crash scene. Notifications to his family have been made.

On Saturday June 27, 2015 at approximately 10:25 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle rollover crash eastbound Interstate 84 at milepost 14.5, east of New Plymouth. A 1969 Chevrolet pickup was traveling eastbound, when one of the driver's side tires deflated and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The pickup traveled across both eastbound lanes of travel, struck the guard rail, rolled multiple times down an embankment, and then caught fire.

The driver and two passengers were ejected from the pickup. One of the occupants succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash. The driver of the crash was taken by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Boise, and the second passenger was taken by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Boise. Notification to family is still pending at this time. Names will be released when notifications to family are made.

None of the occupants of the vehicle were wearing their seatbelts. The interstate was blocked for approximately 6 hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

Idaho State Police are requesting the publics help with any information regarding this crash. ISP asks if anyone witnessed the crash or knows of anyone who did to call ISP at *ISP(*477) or (208) 846-7500.

The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.

On June 26, 2015, at approximately 4:20 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two- vehicle, injury crash northbound US91 at milepost 96.5, south of Blackfoot. Sheila Studebaker, 55, of Pocatello, was traveling southbound on US91 in a 1993 Jeep Cherokee. Ma Sanchez, 44, of Blackfoot, was exiting the Sage Hill Casino in a 2001 Ford Pickup when she failed to yield to traffic on US91. Studebaker's vehicle struck Sanchez's vehicle.

Studebaker was transported by ground ambulance to Bingham Memorial. Both Studebaker and Sanchez were wearing seatbelts. This crash is under investigation.

On June 25, 2015, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on US95 near milepost 40, just north of Wilder.

Martha Munoz was traveling eastbound on Red Top Road in a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado.
Jaswinder Singh, 49, of Sacramento, CA, was traveling southbound on US95 in a 2010 Volvo Semi with trailer.
Munoz failed to stop at the stop sign and was struck on the driver's side by Singh's vehicle.

Munoz succumbed to her injuries at the scene, and her juvenile passenger was transported by ground ambulance to St Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
All subjects were wearing seatbelts.
The roadway was blocked for approximately 4.5 hours.
Next of kin has been notified.

The crash remains under investigation.

INCIDENT NARRATIVE: **UPDATE* Harrison was determined to be the driver of this fatality crash. He has been charged with Manslaughter - Vehicular, IC 18-4006 (3, Driving without Privileges, IC 18-8001, and No Proof of Liability Insurance, IC 49-1232.

The 4Runner over turned on FS2651A road near Homestead Road. Johnson was ejected from the vehicle when it rolled. Investigation is ongoing.

On June 24, 2015, at approximately 5:00 A.M., Idaho State Police investigated a pedestrian versus vehicle fatal crash on I15, at milepost 89, near Blackfoot, ID.

A pedestrian, whose name is being withheld until next of kin notification has been made, was walking in the right lane of northbound I15. Edward Kinney Jr., 59, of Pocatello, ID, was driving northbound in a 2015 Kenworth hauling two fuel tankers. Kinney swerved to the left to try and avoid hitting the pedestrian, but was not successful. The vehicle drove along the left shoulder where the rear trailer flipped and caught on fire. Kinney drove the semi back across both lanes of travel onto the right shoulder where he disconnected the Kenworth from the burning trailers. Kinney parked the vehicle on the right shoulder once he reached a safe distance.

The pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash.

The northbound lanes of I15 have been blocked for approximately 5 hours. The lanes will continue to be blocked as the crash is being investigated.

At approximately 2:43 AM this morning, June 24, 2015, the Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle injury crash involving a commercial vehicle. Devante Williams, age 23 of West Valley, UT was driving westbound on Interstate 84 near milepost 62 when he went off the road on the right shoulder, struck a light pole, and overturned both the truck and trailer. Williams was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Boise.

On June 23, 2015 at approximately 12:05 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on US Highway 26, approximately one-half mile west of Groveland Road in Bingham County. Christopher Williams, 32, of Las Vegas, Nevada, was eastbound on US-26 in a 2007 International semi tractor and trailer. Brian McNabb, 41, of Glendale, was also eastbound behind the semi in a 2011 Ford F150.

Williams swung his semi out wide as he prepared to turn right into the loading area of Grain Craft, on the south side of US-26. As Williams began the turn, the Ford tried to pass on the right, and was struck by the semi. McNabb lost control of the Ford which rolled and came to rest against a telephone pole.

The driver of the semi was wearing a seatbelt; the driver of the pickup was not. Neither occupant was transported by medical personnel. The right lane of eastbound traffic was blocked for approximately three and a half hours while crews worked to clear the scene. The crash is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

**UPDATE**


On Monday, June 22, 2015, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a crash northbound on Interstate 15 near milepost 62, one mile south of the first Pocatello exit.

Clair Beasley, age 76, of Ogden, Utah, was driving northbound on Interstate 15 in a 1999 Ford F-350 pickup towing a Ford Ranger pickup on a dolly when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle went off the right shoulder of the road and rolled over onto its side. Beasley was wearing a seatbelt.

The right lane of northbound traffic was blocked near the scene for about two and a half hours while crews worked to clear the wreckage.

On June 21, 2015, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle, injury crash on Interstate 84 at milepost 62, near the Blacks Creek Rest Area. Alvis Davis, 22, of Boise, was westbound on I-84 in a 2003 Ford Ranger. Davis fell asleep, went off the roadway, and overcorrected. The vehicle rolled, and came to rest off the right shoulder of the Interstate.

Both Davis and his passenger, Trevor Sheehan, 20, also of Boise, were wearing seatbelts. Both were taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise - Davis by ground ambulance and Sheehan by air. The crash remains under investigation.

On June 21, 2015, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a vehicle fire northbound on Interstate 15 near milepost 70, just north of the Clark Street exit in Pocatello. Kelly Cook, 31, of Eureka, Utah, was traveling north on Interstate 15 in a 2006 GMC Sierra pulling a Fleetwood 5th wheel camper trailer, when the trailer caught fire. The vehicle slowed to stop on the right shoulder near the Clark Street on-ramp. The pickup was not damaged in the fire, but the camper trailer had severe damage. The right lane of the onramp, as well as the right lane of the interstate, was blocked for approximately one hour as fire and law enforcement worked to clear the scene. There were no injuries.

On Sunday, June 21, 2015, at approximately 3:39 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash in Blaine County on US Highway 93 at milepost 217, between Carey and the Craters of the Moon National Monument.


Carl Darnell, age 79, of Henderson Nevada, was travelling northeast on the highway in a 2007 Itasca motorhome pulling a 2011 Honda hatchback car.The RV left the roadway off the right shoulder. The vehicle re-entered the roadway, lost control, and again, left the roadway off the right shoulder where it overturned onto its driver's side.

Darnell and his passenger, Laura Darnell, age 78, were extricated from the vehicle and transported by ground ambulance to Saint Luke's Wood River Medical Center in Ketchum. They were both wearing seatbelts.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Sunday, June 21st, 2015, at approximately 2:13 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a motorcycle crash on State Highway 21 at milepost 84, just north of Lowman near the Sourdough Lodge.

Darlene Schumacher, age 62, of Chubbuck, was driving northbound on Highway 21 on a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Schumacher failed to slow in time for a vehicle turning left in front of her, locked up the brakes on the motorcycle, and crashed.

Schumacher was transported to Saint Alphonsus in Boise by air ambulance. The crash remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.

On June 20, 2015, at approximately 3:55 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash eastbound State Highway 33 near milepost 109, east of Newdale. Joshua Owens, 20, of Waco, Texas, was traveling east on State Highway 33 in a 2004 Ford Taurus, when he left his lane, crossed the center line, and entered the westbound lane of travel. Owens' vehicle collided with a 2001 GMC Denali, driven by Madeline Fausett, 20, of Missoula, Montana. The westbound lane was blocked for approximately 30 minutes, and the eastbound lane was blocked for 2 hours. Fausett was transported by ground ambulance to Madison Memorial Hospital. Fausett's passengers, Riley Gottschalk, 20, of Fort Myers, Florida, and Emma Wilcox, 22, of Harwinton, Connecticut, were not injured. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts. Idaho State Police was assisted at the scene by Fremont County Sheriff's Office, Madison County Sheriff's Office, and Madison County EMS. This crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.

On June 20, 2015 at approximately 9:15 p.m., an Idaho State Police trooper initiated a traffic stop on a silver Mitsubishi Galant eastbound on Interstate 84 near milepost 41, just west of the Ten Mile Road exit. The vehicle fled. Speeds reached approximately ninety miles per hour. The Pursuit Intervention Technique was utilized as the vehicle threatened to merge onto I-184 in the wrong direction. The Galant was pinned against a cement barrier. The driver fled on foot, and was subsequently taken into custody near the Riverside Hotel in Garden City without incident.

The driver was identified as Tyler Tomlinson, 31, of Nampa. Tomlinson was charged with Felony Eluding, Felony Possession of Drugs, Possession of Paraphernalia, and several warrants.

On June 20 ,2015, at approximately 1:15 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle crash southbound Interstate 15 at milepost 57, south of Inkom. Wayne Heim, 66, of Sahuarita, AZ, was traveling in 1995 Freightliner. Four Idaho Traffic Safety vehicles were painting the stripes on the roadway in the right lane of travel. Heim collided with the last safety vehicle driven by Mark Killian, 57, of Idaho Falls. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and were not injured.

The right lane has been blocked is still blocked at this time for road cleanup. Bannock County Search & Rescue, Idaho Transportation Department and Inkom fire Department assisted in the crash.

On Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 10:05 am, the Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle crash on Interstate 84, near mile marker 33. Korissa Handy, 44 from Gig Harbor, WA, was travelling east on the Interstate in a Dodge Ram pulling a horse trailer. Handy left the roadway and went into the median. The truck and trailer jackknifed. The truck traveled back up the embankment and into the westbound lanes, blocking the left westbound lane. Both Handy and her passenger, Melanie Santos, 31 from Tacoma, WA, were wearing seatbelts. The left lane, westbound, was blocked for approximately 2 hours. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

MERIDIAN - Idaho State Police Director Colonel Ralph Powell is releasing an internal memorandum clarifying facts and allegations against the Idaho State Police contained in recent media reports concerning an investigation of a crash involving a Payette County Sheriff's deputy.

"All members of the Idaho State Police and I take allegations of misconduct very seriously," says Powell. "While our command staff cannot comment or answer questions on specific allegations contained in pending litigation, we have a duty to assure the public that their trust is not misplaced in our employees and our agency."

The memorandum is a public document under Idaho's Public Records Act; however, there is one portion of the document that has been redacted as the information contained in that paragraph includes personnel information that is exempt from disclosure under the law.

On June 19, 2015, at approximately 2:13 am, Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle fatality crash on Forest Service Road #344, near South Fork Mink Creek Road, south of Pocatello. Richard Keifer, 26, of Union Gap, WA, was travelling on Forest Service Road #344 in a 1996 Dodge pickup. Keifer's vehicle left the roadway from the right shoulder and struck a tree, where it caught on fire.


Keifer's passenger, Crystal Bigham, 35, of Pocatello, succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Keifer and his other passengers, Rayfield Philpot, 27, Phillip Baldwin, 25, and Cameron Hoffman, 27, all of Pocatello, were transported by ground ambulance to Portneuff Medical Center.


Keifer and all of his passengers were wearing their seatbelts. Next of kin has been notified.

On June 18, 2015, at 7:50 am, Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash northbound on US93 at mile marker 71, south of Shoshone.

Royce D. Main, 23, of Las Cruces, NM, was traveling northbound on US93 in a 2005 Toyota Tacoma. Ronald K. Schoolcraft, 71, of Richfield was traveling southbound on US93 in a 2008 Freightliner tractor pulling an empty semi trailer.

Main attempted to pass another vehicle and struck Schoolcraft's semi truck head on. Upon impact the fuel tank from the semi truck ruptured, burst into flames, and became dislodged to the east side of the roadway. The semi truck and trailer traveled off the west side of the roadway. A brush fire ignited on both sides of US93.

Main was transported by Air St. Lukes to Portneuf Regional Medical Center in Pocatello. Life Flight Network transported Schoolcraft to the University of Utah Burn Center. Main was wearing his seatbelt. It is unknown if Schoolcraft was wearing his seatbelt.

US93 was blocked in both directions for four hours while crews worked to remove the wreckage.

On Wednesday, June 17, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash at the intersection of US93 and 3800 N, in Twin Falls County.

Douglas Howell, 25, of Jerome, was traveling southbound on US93 in a 2008 Pontiac G6.
Kisha Miszczenko, 38, of Twin Falls, was traveling westbound on 3800 N in a 2002 Chrysler Cruiser.
Kisha failed to stop at the intersection and was struck on the passenger side by Howell's vehicle.

Kisha was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise.
Douglas was wearing a seatbelt and was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Magic Valley.

The roadway was blocked for approximately 1 hr.

The crash is currently under investigation by Idaho State Police.

Deese was traveling westbound on US Highway 12 and was transporting miscellaneous items on top of his 1993 Geo Metro. As he approached milepost 38, the contents on top of his vehicle combusted, which then led to the vehicle being engulfed in flames. Deese was able to make it to the pullout near milepost 38 and everyone in the vehicle made it out safely. Both lanes of US Highway 12 were blocked for approximately fifteen minutes.

MERIDIAN - Idaho State Police arrested Nathanial James McNichol, 30, of Boise, for Second Degree Kidnapping early Wednesday morning.

At 3:11 a.m. on June 17th, ISP received a telephone call from a woman that observed another woman on eastbound I-84 near Simco Road yelling from the passenger side of a white Chevrolet Pickup for someone to contact police. A trooper in the area located the vehicle and made a traffic stop. The woman jumped out of the vehicle and ran toward the trooper reporting that she had been held against her will in the pickup after a disagreement with McNichol.

McNichol was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail. Idaho State Police will continue to investigate this case.

On June 15, 2015, at approximately 5:36 p.m., a Nampa Police Department officer was driving east on Garrity Boulevard in a marked patrol vehicle en route to an emergency call. The officer was near the intersection of Garrity Boulevard and Sugar Road when Juanita Valenzuela, 39, of Nampa, driving a 2007 Lexus 250, entered the intersection colliding with the patrol vehicle. Valenzuela was transported via ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Health Plaza in Nampa. Valenzuela?s passenger, Roberto Mier-Leon, 31, of Caldwell, was not injured. The right lane of eastbound traffic was blocked for approximately 2 hours while crews worked to clear the scene. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts.

This crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.

On Sunday,June 14,2015,the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash on State Highway 55 on Horseshoe Bend Hill.

Manuel Zavala Diaz, age 23, of Walla Walla, Washington was driving northbound on State Highway 55 in a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. Near mile 59.5, Zavala Diaz crossed over the center line and side swiped a 2001 Subaru Impreza that was headed southbound, driven by Ashlee B. Gorbet,age 24,of Horseshoe Bend.

A passenger in the Subaru, Tailer J. Gorbet, age 21,of Horseshoe Bend,and Zavala Diaz were both transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. All occupants of both vehicles were wearing seatbelts. The slow lane on the southbound side of State Highway 55 was blocked for approximately two and half hours.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Saturday, June 13, 2015, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle fatality crash on Notus Road and Dixie River Road in Canyon County. Ashlynn Husak, 18, of Caldwell, was traveling northbound on Notis Road in a 2004 Toyota Corolla. Husak became distracted, lost control of her vehicle on a curve and rolled. The vehicle landed on its top and slid into a canal. Husak and her passengers, John Alger, 28, of Caldwell, and Kimber Cheney, 22, of Greenleaf, were transported by ground ambulance to West Valley Medical Center.

Husak succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Next of kin has been notified. Seatbelts were worn. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Saturday, June 13, 2015, at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two- vehicle injury crash southbound on State Highway 55 at mile marker 152, south of New Meadows. Leslie Jacobs, 50, of Boise, was traveling southbound on SH55 in a 2012 Ford Edge when she stopped to make a left turn onto Last Chance Road. Darwin Poole, 48, of Rigby, was traveling behind Jacobs on a 2011 Harley Davison pulling a trailer. Poole failed to stop, striking Jacob's vehicle and slid off the road.

Poole was transported by ground ambulance to St Lukes in McCall. Poole was not wearing a helmet. Jacobs was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Saturday, June 13, 2015, at approximately 1:31 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle, injury crash at the intersection on SH-52 and SH-72, near New Plymouth.

Michelle Johnson, 36, of Coquille, Oregon, was southbound on SH-52 in a 2010 Honda Accord. James Sando, 42, of Emmett, was westbound on SH-72 in a 2008 Ford Mustang. Jeremie Vanpaepeghem, 38, of Nampa, was eastbound on SH-72 in a 2015 Ford F-250.

The Accord stopped at a stop sign on SH-52, but failed to yield to the Mustang. The Accord struck the Mustang on the passenger side, and came to rest on SH-72. The Mustang spun around and was struck on the driver's side by the Ford F-250. Both the Mustang and F-250 came to rest on SH-72, as well.

It is unknown if any of the occupants were wearing seatbelts. Sando was taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center by air ambulance. Johnson was taken to St. Alphonsus Ontario by ground ambulance. Vanpaepeghem was not transported to the hospital. SH-72 was blocked for approximately two hours. SH-52 was not blocked.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On June 13, 2015, Idaho State Police investigated a crash eastbound on Interstate 86 at exit 58, on the offramp to US Highway 30 near Pocatello. At approximately 3:15 p.m., a Power County Sheriff's Office deputy was attempting to make a traffic stop with a 2007 Harley Davidson that was travelling at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle took the exit 58 offramp from I-86. As the vehicle approached US-30, the driver lost control, went off the roadway, and was ejected.

The driver, Andy Bowman, 39, of Jerome, was not wearing a helmet, and was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. The crash is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

IDAHO FALLS - The Idaho State Police have arrested a Minnesota man and woman suspected of trafficking marijuana after a traffic stop on Saturday morning.

On June 13th at about 9:00 a.m., an Idaho State Police Trooper stopped a 2015 Hyundai passenger car traveling northbound on Interstate 15 at milepost 123, just outside of Idaho Falls for a traffic infraction. During the subsequent investigation, an ISP drug detection dog was called to the scene and alerted to drugs inside the vehicle. During the search the Trooper found packaged marijuana totaling approximately 173 pounds.

The driver of the vehicle, Koua Lor, 39 of Ramsey, Minnesota and his passenger, Aue Thao, 20 of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota were arrested for Felony Trafficking of Marijuana.

Lor and Thao were booked into the Bonneville County Jail and will be arraigned in Seventh Judicial District Court.

On Friday, June 12, 2015, at approximately 6:42 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle, fatality crash at the junction of US-93 and SH-74, 11 miles north of Hollister.

David Thornton, 63, of Twin Falls, was northbound on US-93 on a 1985 Honda Goldwing motorcycle. Thornton had just taken the onramp from northbound US-93 to eastbound SH-74. Thornton failed to negotiate the curve, and the motorcycle went off the roadway. Thornton was ejected from the motorcycle and struck a sign. The motorcycle came to rest on the shoulder of the road.

Thornton succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. He was wearing a motorcycle helmet. Next of kin has been notified.

The onramp was blocked for approximately an hour-and-a-half. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

INCIDENT NARRATIVE: O'Rourke was northbound on SH3 near milepost 106 when she crossed the southbound lane of travel before driving off the west side of the road and down the embankment, striking several trees. The driver was trapped in the vehicle when the vehicle caught fire. Two citizens on the scene pulled O'Rourke out of the vehicle. O'Rourke was transported by Life Flight to Kootenai Health and then was transferred to Harborview in Seattle. Investigation continuing

On Friday, June 12, 2015, at approximately 1:24 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle, injury crash at the intersection of 3600 N and 3000 E in Twin Falls County, south of Twin Falls City.

Varvara Ispiryan, 32, of Sacramento, California, was eastbound on 3600 N in a 2008 Honda Accord. Hannah Ihler, 25, of Kimberly, was southbound on 3000 E in a 2000 Ford Expedition. Allen Dunnagan, 58, of Jerome, was northbound on 3000 E in a 1996 Volvo semi pulling a single trailer.

The Accord failed to yield at a stop sign, entered the intersection and struck the Expedition on the passenger side. The Expedition went off the road, rolled, and came to rest off the right shoulder of 3000 E. After the collision, the Accord continued through the intersection, where it was struck by the Volvo semi on the passenger side. Both the Accord and the Volvo semi came to rest in the lane of travel on 3000 E.

It is unknown if any of the occupants were wearing their seatbelts. Ispiryan, Ihler, and Ihler's passenger, Doug Russell, 55, of Twin Falls, were transported to St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center by ground ambulance. The intersection was blocked for approximately five hours. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Friday, June 12, 2015, at approximately 2:50 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash on Interstate 15 at milepost 89, near Blackfoot.

Mckenzie Dschaak, 18, of Rockland, was driving a tractor southbound in the right lane. Melanie Hawkes, 34, of Rexburg, was driving southbound in the left lane in a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. A 2014 Freightliner semi swerved to miss the tractor and struck the Cobalt. The car went into the median where it rolled.

Hawkes was transported via ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. Hawkes was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. The driver of the semi and Dschaak were not transported. The name of the semi driver is not available at this time.

The soutbound lanes were at least partially blocked for about two hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Friday, June 12, 2015, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle crash on Old Highway 91, one mile north of US Highway 30.

Robina Klein, 74, of McCammon, was driving southbound in a 2015 Ford Fusion. Klein failed to negotiate a curve, overcorrected, and went off the right shoulder. The vehicle went down an embankment, rolled, and came to rest on its passenger side.

Klein was transported via ground ambulance to Portneuf Regional Medical Center in Pocatello. Klein was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On June 12, 2015, at approximately 12:33 am, The Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle fatality crash, westbound I86 at milepost 41, near American Falls. Robert Bernal, 52, of American Falls, was traveling westbound in a GMC Sierra pickup. Bernal drove off the left side,overcorrected and rolled onto the right side of the roadway. Bernal was transported by ground ambulance to Harms Memorial in American Falls where he succumbed to his injuries. Bernal was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Lanes of travel were blocked for emergency personnel for approximately 30 minutes.

On June 11, 2015 at approximately 6:40 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 15, three miles north of Pocatello.

Frank Ward, age 66, of Chubbuck, Idaho, was traveling southbound when he drove off the road into the median. Ward steered back to the road and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle skidded across the road and off the right shoulder. The vehicle crashed through a guard rail and rolled down an embankment, coming to rest on its wheels.

Frank Ward and his passenger Sharon Ward, 65, of Chubbuck, were taken by ambulance to the Portneuf Medical Center.

Frank Ward told Police that he "lost concentration", and drifted off the road. Both Wards were wearing seat belts. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

The tractor and trailer went off the right side of the road, over the embankment and overturned. Schmidt succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Next of kin has been notified. The roadway was intermittently blocked during the recovery of the tractor and trailer.
