Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred Saturday, April 30, 2022, at approximately 6:50 p.m., at the intersection of 300 W and 100 S, in Jerome County, west of Jerome.

A Mazda 626, driven by a 55-year-old female from Jerome, was traveling eastbound on 100 S. A Dodge Durango, driven by a 19-year-old male from Jerome, was traveling southbound on 300 W. The driver of the Mazda failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was struck by the Dodge Durango in the intersection. The driver of the Mazda succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The driver of the Mazda was not wearing a seat belt. The driver and passenger of the Dodge Durango were wearing their seat belt.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is investigating a crash that occurred at 4:39 p.m. on April 29, 2022, on I15 at milepost 98, north of Blackfoot.

A 66-year-old man from Shelley was driving southbound on I15 in a Chevrolet pickup pulling a trailer. A 51-year-old man from Idaho Falls was driving northbound in a Dodge pickup with two passengers. A 61-year-old man from Morgan, UT was also northbound in a Toyota Corolla.

The trailer being pulled by the Chevrolet began to fishtail and became disengaged from the truck. It crossed the median into the northbound lanes, where it side-swiped the Dodge truck and was struck head-on by the Toyota. The Dodge crossed the median and southbound lanes and came to rest on the right shoulder of the southbound Interstate. The Toyota went off the right shoulder of the northbound lanes and rolled. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital.

All parties involved were wearing seatbelts. There were two secondary crashes nearby, one northbound, and one southbound. As a result of the three crashes, the right lane of northbound I15 was partially blocked for over two hours. The southbound lanes were not blocked, but traffic slowed significantly and was backed up for about two hours. This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is investigating a crash northbound I15 at milepost 69, in Bannock County, that occurred on April 29,2022 at 9:53 a.m.

A 73-year-old female, of El Cerrito, California, was northbound on I15 in a 2005 Infiniti QX56 hauling a camper trailer when the trailer fishtailed and caused the driver to lose control. The vehicle and camper went off the right side of the road, rolled, and came to rest off the right shoulder.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt. Both the driver and passenger, a 78-year-old male, of El Cerrito, California, were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. One lane was blocked for approximately 4 hours while crews recovered the vehicle. One lane is still blocked while the wrecker continues to remove the camper trailer.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On April 28, 2022, at approximately 1141 hours, Idaho State Police responded to a report of a disabled tour bus on the 4th Street On-Ramp to westbound Interstate 90. Upon arrival, several of the occupants of the bus were standing or sitting alongside the roadway. During the motorist assist, observations of possible drug use were observed with some of the occupants, and it was discovered some occupants possessed controlled substances or paraphernalia, which was seized. Troopers discovered three of the occupants had felony warrants for their arrest from around the United States. Due to the nature of the warrants, several assist units were requested to respond to the scene for the safety of the occupants, public and Trooper?s. The warrants were confirmed, however determined to be non-extraditable from Idaho. All the occupants were released, and no arrests were made, but charges are pending. A second bus arrived at the scene. Troopers assisted the occupants transition to the second bus and the occupants continued to their destinations. The initial bus was later towed away from the scene.

The Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on April 22nd, 2022, at approximately 12:29 a.m. on I-90 near mile post 2 in Post Falls.

The driver of a Ford sedan, left the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and came to rest at the bottom of the I-90 Exit 2 Interchange.

The sedan was driven by a 33-year-old female from Auburn, WA. The driver was not wearing a seat belt, and was deceased on scene. The roadway was shut down periodically through the investigation.


The Idaho State Police are working with the King County Washington Sheriffs Department with notification of next of kin.

On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at approximately 9:03 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle, fatal crash at 111-130 Bassett Rd. in Jefferson County.

A 45-year-old male from Idaho Falls was northbound on Bassett Road, north of 100 N, in a 1992 Chevrolet pickup. The vehicle went off the right shoulder, came back on the road, went off the left shoulder, and rolled, coming to rest off the roadway. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. The road was partially blocked for 2 1/2 hours.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police. They were assisted at the scene by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Jefferson QRU, Bonneville County Sheriff's Office, and Bonneville EMS.

The Idaho State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred around 5:00 a.m., Saturday morning on Lapwai Rd. near Reservation Line Rd. in Nez Perce County, Idaho. The male juvenile driver of a teal Honda Pilot was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control on the gravel road. The Honda rolled into a field on the north side of the roadway. Two juvenile occupants succombed to their injuries at the scene. Six additional juveniles were transported to a nearby hospital via ground ambulance and police vehicles. Next of kin have been notified. Investigation continues by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police are investigating a vehicle collision that occurred on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 3:40 P.M., on N. 2500 East at E. 3700 North in Twin Falls County.

A 77-year-old man from Rogerson driving a Dodge D-Series pickup truck was northbound on 2500 E. A 54-year-old woman from Twin Falls driving a Chevrolet suburban was eastbound on 3700 N. The Dodge failed to yield to a stop sign at the intersection of N 2500 E and E 3700 N and was struck on the driver side by the Chevrolet suburban. The Dodge truck appears to have rolled and struck a telephone pole.

The driver of the pickup was not wearing his seat-belt and was pronounced deceased on scene.

The driver of the suburban was wearing her seat-belt and was transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police

On Monday, April 11th, 2022, Idaho State Police investigated six crashes on I-84 and state highway 81 in Cassia County. Cassia County experienced major inclement weather that caused dangerous driving conditions including blowing and drifting snow that reduced visibility on the roadway. The eastbound lanes of I-84 at milepost 222 were closed at 6:31 P.M. and remain closed as crashes are cleared from the area.
The Cassia County Sheriff's Office responded to a seventeen-vehicle crash on I-84. Nine people were transported to area hospitals by ground ambulance.
The Idaho State Police and the Cassia County Sheriff's Office were assisted by Cassia County Extraction, Idaho Transportation Department, Declo Fire Department, Malta Ambulance, Life Run Medic 1 and Medic 2, and the Declo QRU.

Idaho State Police is investigating a multi-vehicle collision that occurred at on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 2:56 P.M., on US93 at mile marker 36, in Twin Falls County.

The driver of a Freightliner semi-truck pulling a semi-trailer, was traveling south on US93, when he stopped due to crashes ahead. The driver of a Chevrolet Malibu, traveling too fast for conditions, struck the semi-trailer from the rear. The impact caused a chain reaction involving four other vehicles; a 2010 Volvo passenger car, a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, a 2020 Volvo semi-truck pulling a semi-trailer, and a 2012 GMC Sierra.

The Freightliner was occupied by a 79-year-old man, from Enumclaw, WA. He was wearing a seatbelt. The Malibu was occupied a 42-year-old woman, from Wells, NV. She was wearing a seatbelt. She was taken to a nearby hospital by a county deputy. The Volvo passenger car was occupied by a 31-year-old woman, from Twin Falls. She was wearing a seatbelt. She was taken to a nearby hospital by air ambulance. The Pontiac was occupied by a 59-year-old driver, a 72-year-old-female passenger, a 77-year-old male passenger, and fourth passenger. All were from Jackpot, NV. All were taken to a nearby hospital by a ground ambulance. The Volvo semi-truck was occupied a 32-year-old man, from Sacramento, CA. He was wearing a seatbelt. The GMC was occupied by a 34-year-old man, from Twin Falls. He was wearing a seatbelt.
Traffic on US93 was blocked in both directions for approximately six hours to allow emergency responders to assist those involved and clear the scene.

Idaho State Police was assisted at the scene by the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office, Filer Fire Department, Magic Valley Paramedics, and Life Flight Network.

Idaho State Police are investigating a crash that occurred at approximately 2:30 am on April 9, 2022, on southbound US93 at milepost 87.5, northwest of Arco.

A 57-year-old male, of Arco, was driving a 2010 Dodge Dakota pickup. The driver was southbound on US93 at milepost 87.5 when he crossed over the center line going off the left shoulder where he struck a stop sign and rolled the vehicle. The vehicle came to rest upright on the left shoulder.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash. Idaho State Police was assisted by Butte County Sheriff's Office, Arco Fire Department and Arco EMS personnel.

Update: 8 vehicles now involved after Troopers make arrest in a shooting incident

The investigation into shots fired from a pickup on eastbound I-84 early Wednesday morning remains ongoing. Troopers arrested a Meridian man Wednesday and charged him with several felony counts connected to the incident.

After a day of investigation and contacting witnesses, investigators have identified 8 vehicles believed to have been hit and damaged by the gunshots, including 6 personal and 2 law enforcement vehicles. ISP detectives believe there may be other reports connected to this incident that remains under investigation. At this time, there are two confirmed non-life-threatening injuries connected to the incident. Both individuals suffered gunshot wounds and have been treated and released from area hospitals.

The Idaho State Police would like to thank witnesses and victims who called emergency dispatchers to report this incident which allowed law enforcement to locate and stop the suspect vehicle. Anyone who may be a witness and has not yet spoken with investigators is urged to contact ISP dispatch at 208-846-7500.

April 6, 2022, 7:56 a.m. - The Idaho State Police and a Critical Incident Task Force are investigating after an early morning pursuit that followed several citizen reports of shots being fired from a vehicle on eastbound Interstate 84.

An Idaho State Police Trooper on patrol caught up to the suspect vehicle as it crossed into Jerome County. Moments later, the Trooper also reported coming under fire.

Multiple agencies joined the pursuit of the suspect vehicle as more shots were fired toward officers.

At approximately 3:30am, with the aid of spike strips, the suspect vehicle, a pickup truck, was stopped at milepost 192. Two occupants of the vehicle, a male driver and female passenger were taken into custody without further incident.

No shots were fired by law enforcement.

The incident is being investigated by a Critical Incident Task Force with Cassia County Sheriffs Office leading the CITF investigation.

Traffic lanes of eastbound I-84 at milepost 192 remain blocked or restricted as the investigation continues.

Investigators appreciate the calls from motorists who allowed officers to locate the suspect vehicle. If anyone witnessed this mornings incident and has not spoken with investigators, they're asked to contact Idaho State Police dispatch at 208-846-7500.

On Tuesday, April 5th, 2022, at approximately 11:56 p.m., Idaho State Police is investigating a three-vehicle injury crash northbound Interstate 15 at milepost 36, in Bannock County. A 45 year old male from San Luis Obisbo, California, was travelling south in the northbound lanes in a 2019 Volkswagen. The Volkswagen struck a small Toyota SUV being driven by a 21 year old male from Rexburg. The Volkswagen then struck a Ford pickup driven by a 34 year old male from Idaho Falls.

The driver of the Volkswagen was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the Toyota SUV was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The road was blocked for approximately 2.5 hours

Update: Critical Incident on I84 in Jerome County

Update: Critical Incident on I84 in Jerome County

Update: A Meridian man has been booked into the Jerome County Jail and charged with multiple felony counts connected to this mornings incident.

Arrested: Braddley D.W. Tannehill, 34, Meridian

Charged: Aggravated Assault (F)
Assault or Battery on Certain Personnel (F)

The investigation into shots fired from a pickup toward passing motorists on eastbound I-84 early this morning remains ongoing.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken with investigators is urged to contact Idaho State Police dispatch at 208-846-7500.

April 6, 2022, 7:56 a.m. - The Idaho State Police and a Critical Incident Task Force are investigating after an early morning pursuit that followed several citizen reports of shots being fired from a vehicle on eastbound Interstate 84.

An Idaho State Police Trooper on patrol caught up to the suspect vehicle as it crossed into Jerome County. Moments later, the Trooper also reported coming under fire.

Multiple agencies joined the pursuit of the suspect vehicle as more shots were fired toward officers.

At approximately 3:30am, with the aid of spike strips, the suspect vehicle, a pickup truck, was stopped at milepost 192. Two occupants of the vehicle, a male driver and female passenger were taken into custody without further incident.

No shots were fired by law enforcement.

The incident is being investigated by a Critical Incident Task Force with Cassia County Sheriffs Office leading the CITF investigation.

Traffic lanes of eastbound I-84 at milepost 192 remain blocked or restricted as the investigation continues.

Investigators appreciate the calls from motorists who allowed officers to locate the suspect vehicle. If anyone witnessed this mornings incident and has not spoken with investigators, they're asked to contact Idaho State Police dispatch at 208-846-7500.

Additional information will be released as the investigation allows.

Three Vehicle Injury Crash in Bannock County Sends Two to Hospital

On Tuesday, April 5th, 2022, at approximately 11:56 p.m., Idaho State Police is investigating a three-vehicle injury crash northbound Interstate 15 at milepost 36, in Bannock County. A 45 year old male from San Luis Obisbo, California, was travelling south in the northbound lanes in a 2019 Volkswagen. The Volkswagen struck a small Toyota SUV being driven by a 21 year old male from Rexburg. The Volkswagen then struck a Ford pickup driven by a 34 year old male from Idaho Falls.

The driver of the Volkswagen was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital. The driver of the Toyota SUV was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The road was blocked for approximately 2.5 hours

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On April 3rd, 2022, Idaho State Police received reports of a vehicle in a canal at 7:04 AM on N 3145 E, just north of County Line Road, near Osgood.

At some time in the early morning hours of April 3rd, 2022, a 2008 Ford F150 was travelling northbound on River Road near County Line Road. The vehicle left the right shoulder of the roadway and came to a stop, submerged in a canal. A 37-year-old male and a 35-year-old female, both from Ammon, were not wearing seatbelts and ejected from the vehicle. Both occupants succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Roberts EMS, and Idaho Falls Fire Department.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle collision that occurred Sunday, April 3rd, at approximately 7:33 AM, on Red Duck Lane near US95 in Lapwai, Idaho.

A Chevrolet SUV, driven by a 42-year-old man from Lapwai, was traveling westbound on Red Duck Lane when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a dirt embankment. The driver of the SUV did not appear to be wearing his seatbelt. The driver of the SUV was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Evidence was found on scene to indicate that alcohol and/or drugs may have been involved in this crash. That evidence is part of the ongoing investigation.

The 42-year-old male?s next of kin has been notified.

The roadway was not blocked.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m. on April 2, 2022, at Interstate-15 at milepost 84.1, in Bingham County.

Idaho State Police received a call of a wrong way driver at 3:15 a.m. At 3:20 a.m., a 36-year-old male, from Fort Hall, driving a Chevy Impala, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes on I-15. A 69-year-old male, from Blackfoot, driving an Oldsmobile Alero, was traveling northbound on I-15.

The driver of the Chevy Impala collided with the Oldsmobile Alero head on. The driver of the Oldsmobile Alero succumbed to his injuries on scene and the driver of the Chevy Impala was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. Neither subject was wearing a seatbelt.

Northbound lanes were briefly blocked for air ambulance then partially blocked until 7:00 a.m.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
