On Friday, June 30, 2017, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle injury crash on westbound Interstate 84, near Hazelton.

William B. Mulligan, age 66, of Arroyo Seco, New Mexico was driving a 1998 Dodge Pickup pulling a 2017 Airstream Travel Trailer. While attempting to pass another vehicle, the Airstream started to sway. Mulligan lost control, and rolled both vehicles onto the right shoulder at milepost 196. Airbags were not deployed and both occupants were wearing seatbelts. Mulligan and his passenger, Janis R. Checchia, age 70 of Arroyo Seco, New Mexico, was transferred to St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center by ground ambulance.

The right lane was blocked for approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On June 29, 2017, at approximately 7:39 A.M., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle injury crash northbound US 93 at milepost 30 near Hollister.

Johal Prabhjit, 52, of Alberta, Canada, was traveling northbound in a commercial vehicle full of produce when he veered off the roadway. While attempting to return to the roadway Prabhjit overcorrected and overturned the semi-truck and trailer. Sidhu Prabhjot, 24, also of Alberta, Canada, was a passenger inside of Prabhjit's vehicle.

Johal Prabhjit was transported by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Sidhu Prabhjot was transported by ground ambulance to St. Lukes Magic Valley Regional Medical Center. No seatbelts were worn.

Both lanes of travel were blocked for 31 minutes while the truck and trailer were uprighted. Both lanes of travel are now open. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

At approximately 1:04 p.m. today, June 29, 2017, the Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle injury crash eastbound on I84, at the 50A off-ramp to Cole Rd. Robert Brumpton, age 66, of Star, was eastbound on I84, exiting at 50A on a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Traffic was slowing, and Brumpton came to an abrupt stop. He lost control of the motorcycle, went over the curb, and was ejected. Brumpton was not wearing a helmet and was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Boise. Traffic on the off-ramp was blocked for approximately an hour and a half. The investigation is ongoing.

On June 28, 2017, at approximately 4:55 P.M. the Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash northbound Interstate 15 at milepost 111, just south of Idaho Falls.

Dirk Johnson, 59, of Idaho Falls, was traveling northbound in an empty gravel truck in the construction zone when traffic began to slow. Johnson was unable to slow down and veered into oncoming traffic. Shirley Williams, 65, of Idaho Falls, was traveling southbound in a Dodge 2500 pickup truck pulling a horse trailer. Mark Weidner, 44, of Pocatello, was traveling behind Johnson in a Nissan Maxima. Johnson struck Williams' pickup truck head-on, struck the horse trailer, then struck Weidner's vehicle.

Williams was transported by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries. The horse in Williams' horse trailer died from injuries at the scene of the crash. Johnson and Weidner were not injured. All drivers were wearing seat belts.

All lanes of travel are still currently blocked at this time. Next of kin have been notified.

Johnson was arrested on vehicular manslaughter and booked into Bingham County Jail. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police. The Idaho State Police was assisted by the Idaho Transportation Department and the Bonneville County Sheriffs Department.

On June 26, 2017, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash on US 26 at milepost 173, between Shoshone and Richfield, ID.

Judy K. Childs, 54, of Shoshone, was stopped in the eastbound lane of travel in a 2000 Jeep, waiting for traffic to clear so she could make a left-hand turn into a driveway. Steven K. Jones, 66, of Jerome was travelling eastbound behind Childs on a 2011 Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Jones did not slow for Childs' vehicle and struck it.

Childs was wearing a seatbelt. Jones was not wearing a helmet and succumbed to his injuries at the crash scene.

Next of kin has been notified.

On Monday, June 26, 2017, at approximately 6:30 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a motorcycle crash with injuries near Interstate 15 on-ramp for exit 119 in Idaho Falls.

On Saturday, June 24, 2017, at approximately 8:39 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury crash at the intersection of Marsing Road and Riverside Road, east of Marsing.

Mohammad Timor Shah, 29, of Boise, was northbound on Riverside Road in a 2004 Hyundai Elantra. Angelina Derryberry, 29, of Caldwell, was a passenger in the Hyundai. Pedro Herrera Ramos, 33, of Nampa, was eastbound on Marsing Road in a 2007 Ford F-250 pulling a horse trailer. Carina Herrera, 30; Salvador Herrera, 75; Maria Herrera, 70; and a juvenile, all of Nampa, were passengers in the Ford.

The Hyundai did not stop at the stop sign in time and entered the intersection, where it was impacted on the driver's side by the Ford. The Ford did not have a stop sign. The Hyundai came to rest in the northeast corner of the intersection. The Ford rolled and came to rest on its wheels off the roadway; the trailer was on its side. Both horses survived the crash.

Timor Shah and Herrera Ramos were transported to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell by ground ambulance. Carina Herrera and the juvenile went to the same hospital by personal vehicle. Derryberry was not transported. Salvador Herrera was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by air ambulance. Maria Herrera was transported to the same hospital by ground ambulance.
Salvador and Maria Herrera weren't wearing their seatbelts; everyone else was. The intersection was blocked for approximately two and a half hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Friday, June 23, 2017, at 8:08 pm, Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash westbound on I84 at mile marker 33, near the Karcher Bypass.

Alexander J. Whiteaker, 18, of Parma, ID, was driving westbound on I84 in a 1992 Geo Metro. Gabe E. Slettebo, 43, of Kuna, ID, was stopped in traffic due to construction. Whiteaker failed to stop and impacted the rear of Slettebo's vehicle. Both vehicles came to rest in the median and the Geo Metro caught fire. The fire was quickly extinguished.

Slettebo, who was wearing his seatbelt, was transported by ground ambulance to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, ID. Whiteaker and a passenger in his vehicle, Destiny S. Lopez, 20, of Caldwell, ID, were transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa, ID. Neither were wearing their seatbelts.

On June 23, 2017 at 4:42 PM a fatal crash occurred on US95 at milepost 449, near Athol, Idaho. A teal 1996 Ford Taurus station wagon driven by James W. Brown, 86, of Cocolalla, Idaho was traveling northbound when for an unknown reason it went off the road on to the left shoulder. Mr. Brown struck the end of the guardrail, lost control of his vehicle and came to rest on the right shoulder near the concrete barrier. Mr. Brown was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger, Patricia E. Brown, 84, of Cocolalla, Idaho was uninjured. Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing their seatbelts.

On June 23, 2017, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a non-injury crash on Interstate 15 in a construction zone at milepost 77, north of Pocatello, ID.

Arthur P. Korman, 56, of Henderson, NV was driving northbound in a 2014 Hyundai Elantra. Following Korman was Jacob N. Rosen, 25, of Pocatello, ID, driving a 2009 Chevrolet box van. Following Rosen was Callie M. Smith, 36, of Burley, ID, driving a 2015 Blue Bird school bus, carrying approximately 30 minor passengers from the Cassia County School District. Korman and Rosen slowed for construction traffic. Smith slowed for traffic, but still struck the rear of Rosen's vehicle. Rosen lost control of the box van, and struck the rear of the Hyundai, then went through the construction cones, into the oncoming southbound traffic.


John W. Palmer, 38, of Blackfoot, ID was driving southbound in a 2015 Peterbilt tractor pulling a 2013 Polar tank trailer. Palmer struck Rosen's box van after it crossed into southbound traffic.

All drivers were wearing seatbelts. Both lanes of travel were blocked for approximately 30 minutes. Southbound traffic continued to be blocked for approximately an additional 20 minutes.

The Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle crash on US12 MP65.3, near Kamiah on June 23, 2017 at 11:13 a.m. David Kuykendall, a 43year old male of Kamiah was driving a brown 1994 GMC Suburban when he pulled out of the lumber mill onto eastbound US12. Kuykendall failed to yield to Guy Ramsdell, a 74 year old male from Genesee who was driving a maroon 1994 Nissan Sentra traveling westbound. Kuykendall's vehicle overturned. Kuykendall, his passenger Charlie Price and Ramsdell were transported to Clearwater Valley Hospital. The roadway was blocked for just over two hours.

On June 19th, at 3:08 pm, there was an injury crash on US95 southbound at milepost 426.8, Cougar Gulch Road, south of Coeur d'Alene. Glenn Davis, 68 years old, of Liberty Lake, Washington and his passenger, Cheryl Davis, 70 years old, of Nine Mile Falls, Washington were southbound on US95 in a grey 2016 Ford Escape, parked on the right shoulder in the construction zone. Davis attempted to make a left turn from the shoulder of the roadway and failed to yield to Sviatoslav Nesteruk, 31 years old, of Spokane, Washington, who was traveling southbound in a maroon 1996 Toyota Previa. Nesteruk struck Davis on the driver's side of the vehicle. Glenn Davis was the only subject transported from the crash and he succumbed to his injuries at Kootenai Health on June 23rd. Everyone involved was wearing their seatbelts in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

On Friday, June 23, 2017, at approximately 10:55 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle fatality crash westbound I84 at milepost 244.7, near Malta, Idaho. Samuel Taylor, 25, of Homedale, was driving a Dodge Neon westbound I84 at milepost 244.7. Taylor drove into the median and overcorrected. The vehicle rolled and came to rest in the right lane of travel. He was transported by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. Taylor's passenger, Megan Erickson 29, of Boise, was ejected and died at the scene. Erickson's next of kin have been notified.
Taylor was wearing a seatbelt. Erickson was not wearing a seatbelt.
The westbound lanes of the interstate were blocked for approximately three hours.
Cassia County Sheriff's Office and the Idaho Transportation Department assisted.

On June 21, 2017, at approximately 11:01 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash on State Street near Sycamore Drive in Boise, Idaho.

A 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 63 year old male of Boise, ID, was traveling eastbound on State Street. The motorcycle traveled into the westbound lanes and struck a 2000 Ford Focus head on. The Focus was driven by Taylor J. Kasuba, 18, of Meridian, ID.

The motorcycle driver was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID, where he succumbed to his injuries. He was not wearing a helmet. Kasuba was not transported.

The crash is under further investigation by the Idaho State Police. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification to family members.

Injury Crash SH41 at mp 21, Spirit Lake

On June 21, 2017 at 2:06 pm an injury commercial vehicle crash occurred on SH41 at milepost 21, north of Spirit Lake, ID. A Red 1994 Peterbilt Semi tractor pulling a loaded log trailer driven by Andrew V Gosser, 32, of Hayden, ID was travelling northbound. Mr. Gosser lost control while negotiating a corner, veered off the right shoulder then overcorrected causing the tractor and trailer to overturn. Both northbound and southbound lanes of travel were blocked by the vehicle and its load of logs for approximately 4 hours. The Mr. Gosser and the juvenile male passenger were transported to Kootenai Health by ambulance. The juvenile passenger was wearing a seatbelt but Mr. Gosser was not. The investigation continues.

On June 21, 2017 at 12:28 pm, a fatality motorcycle crash occurred on US12 at milepost 157.5, near Powell, Idaho. A black 2003 BMW motorcycle, being driven by Gunter Keess a 75 year old of Hondo, Alberta, was westbound on US12 MP157.5 when he failed to negotiate a left curve, went off the right shoulder, over an embankment, striking a downed tree and several large rocks. Keess succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash and was transported to Trenary Funeral Home in Kooskia, ID. Keess was wearing his helmet at the time of the crash. Next of kin has been notified.

On Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 1:57 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash on eastbound I84 at milepost 78.

Pavel Priymak, 52, of Vancouver, WA, was traveling eastbound on I84 in the right lane at approximately milepost 78, east of the Boise Stage Stop, east of Boise, in a 2002 Volvo semi-truck pulling a trailer. Priymak was slowing for traffic, which was slowing or stopped due to an earlier crash, eastbound on I84 at milepost 81.

As Priymak slowed, Antonio Vega, 23, of Twin Falls, was traveling behind Priymak in a 2004 Mack concrete pump truck, and struck the rear of Priymak's semi-truck and trailer. Priymak's semi was pushed into 3 vehicles in front of him, and sideswiped a SUV traveling in the left lane next to his semi.

The three vehicles in front of Priymak's semi were a 2004 Mazda MZ3, driven by a juvenile, a 2012 Dodge dually pickup, driven by Steven Dunbar, 54, of Ligonier, IN, and a 2009 GMC Yukon, driven by Pamela Palacios, 52, of Poway, CA. The SUV in the left lane was a 2008 Infinity FX3 driven by Svetlana Movsesyan, 64, of Twin Falls. All vehicles remained upright, and came to rest blocking the eastbound lanes of travel.

Antonio Vega was transported via air ambulance, and Steven Dunbar via ground ambulance, to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. All other occupants in the vehicles were uninjured. The eastbound lanes of travel were completely blocked for approximately 4 hours, and the right lane remained blocked for an additional 1.5 hours, while the crash was investigated and crews worked to clear the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

On Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at approximately 4:15 P.M., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle fatal crash at the intersection of Riverside Road and Symms Road in Canyon County, just west of Lake Lowell.

John Hall, 23, of Marsing, was driving northbound on Riverside Road on a 2015 Ferguson tractor. Kevin Cherrington, 59, of Nampa, attempted to pass Hall on a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Cherrington collided into the tractor as it turned left onto Symms Road. Cherrington succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. Cherrington was not wearing a helmet.

The intersection of Riverside Road and Symms Road was blocked for approximately three hours.

Next of kin has been notified.

On Monday, June 19, 2017 at approximately 4:16 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle crash on I84 near milepost 165, west of Jerome.

Scott Muenzenmayer, 23, of Sparks, NV, was traveling eastbound in a 2000 Ford F350 when a tire blew. Muenzenmayer lost control, traveled through the median and collided head-on with a 2006 Chevy Silverado, driven by Sebastian Sabala, 21, of Gooding.
Muenzenmayer's vehicle was then struck by a 2016 Freightliner, driven by Steve Pearson, 63, of Twin Falls. Both pickups rolled off the right shoulder of the westbound lanes, and the Freightliner stopped on the right shoulder.

Muenzenmayer was transported by personal vehicle to St Lukes Magic Valley.
Kristopher McGarrity, 40, of Reno, NV and a minor passenger from Muenzenmayer's vehicle were transported by ground ambulance to St Lukes Magic Valley.
Tim Saari, 48, of Sparks, NV from Muenzenmayer's vehicle was taken by air ambulance to St Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Sabala was wearing his seatbelt and was taken by ground ambulance to St Lukes Magic Valley.
Pearson was wearing his seatbelt and was not transported.

A six month old black lab was ejected and last seen near the Wow Logistics in the area.

The lanes of travel were partially blocked for approximately 3 hours.

The Crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police with assistance by the Jerome County Sheriff's Office and Jerome Police Department.

On June 18, 2017, at approximately 5:14 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle rollover crash on State Highway 55 near mile post 151, south of New Meadows. Jeremiah Watson, 19, of Council, was traveling northbound in a 1995 Honda Passport when he lost control of the vehicle and rolled. The vehicle came to rest in the southbound lanes. Watson was transported by ground ambulance to St Luke's McCall Medical Center. Watson's passenger, Raychell Robison, 18, of Council, was transported by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Both Watson and Robison were wearing their seatbelts. Lanes were partially blocked for an hour and a half. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Sunday, June 18, 2017, at approximately 12:42 P.M., Idaho State Police investigated a fatal crash on US30 at milepost 360, near McCammon, ID.

A juvenile was driving westbound on US30 in a red 1999 Chevrolet C1500 pickup truck. The pickup crossed the center line into the eastbound lane of travel and collided with a white 2011 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by Jay Lanningham, age 70, of Nampa, ID.

The juvenile driver and a juvenile passenger in the red Chevrolet pickup succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash, along with Lanningham. Lanningham had a juvenile passenger who was transported by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID. All occupants were wearing a seatbelt.

Both lanes of travel were blocked for approximately five and a half hours.

Next of kind has been notified.

On June 18, 2017, at approximately 2:55 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle motorcycle crash westbound Interstate 84 at milepost 22, west of Caldwell.

Carl Edmiston, age 50, of Melba, ID, was driving westbound Interstate 84 on a 2007 Honda motorcycle when the back tire blew out. Edmiston lost control of his motorcycle and came to rest in a ditch on the right shoulder. Edmiston and his passenger, Devin Edmiston, age 19, of Melba, ID, were transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID.

The right lane of westbound Interstate 84 was blocked for approximately one hour while crews worked to clear the scene. Devin Edmiston was wearing a helmet, Carl Edmiston was not wearing a helmet.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt and both were ejected. One occupant succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. The other occupant was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by air ambulance. Next of kin has not been notified.

The Idaho State Police was assisted at the scene of the crash by the Canyon County Sheriff's Office and Canyon County EMS. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

On Sunday, June 18, 2017, at approximately 7:11 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a fatality crash on 8 Mile Creek Road approximately 10 miles south of Soda Springs, near the old Coldsprings campground in Bear Lake County.

Triston Perron, 20, of Grace, Idaho, was traveling northbound on 8 Mile Creek Road near Coldsprings campground in a 1973 Ford Bronco when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The vehicle went off the road, rolled, and came to rest on its top in 8 Mile Creek.

Perron succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. Perron was wearing a seatbelt. Notification to next of kin has been made.

On Sunday, June 18, 2017, at approximately 7:37 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash southbound Interstate 15 at milepost 59, near the Inkom Port of Entry.

Marvin Baker, 82, of Fredonia, Arizona, was traveling south on I-15 in a 2015 Toyota Tacoma pulling a trailer. Baker drove the vehicle onto the left shoulder then overcorrected to the right, causing the pickup to roll. The pickup came to rest its right side, blocking both southbound lanes of I-15. The trailer did not roll.

Baker and his two passengers were transported to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello by ground ambulance. The two passengers were Hal Moore, 45, and Gary Moore, 18, both of Langford, South Dakota. Baker and Hal Moore were wearing seatbelts; Gary Moore was not.

The southbound lanes of Interstate 15 were blocked for a little over one hour while crews worked to clear the scene. Traffic was diverted through the Inkom Port of Entry.

A red 2001 Harley Davidson Cruiser motorcycle, being driven by a 17 year old male, was eastbound on US12 coming out of a right curve when he encountered stopped traffic due to the repainting of highway lines on US12. On Friday, June 16, 2017, at 12:51 pm, Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash eastbound I84 at mile marker 47, east of the Eagle off ramp.

Cameron J. Dill, 24, of Boise, ID, was traveling eastbound I84 in a 1995 Honda Civic. Dill attempted to make a lane changed and struck the front of a 2015 Ford F150, driven by James C. Tully, 26, of Moses Lake, WA. Dill's lost control of his vehicle, crossed several lanes of travel, and struck a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Linda J. Hill, 62, of Boise, ID. The Honda Civic and the Chevrolet Impala rolled off the right shoulder coming to rest on their tops.

Hill was transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Medical Center in Meridian, Idaho. Dill had a passenger in his vehicle, Taylor R. Peterson, 26, of Meridian, ID. No other occupants were transported.

The right lane on I84 as blocked for approximately two and a half hours. The lanes have been reopened.

On Sunday, June 11, 2017, at approximately 4:37 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a crash on I84, near milepost 158, near Wendell.

Karol Grenier, 66, of Emmett, was traveling westbound in a 2002 Mazda Tribute. Grenier went off the left shoulder, overcorrected, went off the right shoulder, and traveled through a fence where the vehicle rolled. Grenier was ejected and was being transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, ID when she succumbed to her injuries.

Multiple juveniles were wearing their seatbelts and were not transported. Lanes of travel were blocked for approximately one hour.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police. Gooding County Sherriff's Office assisted.

Freda and Stark were transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls, ID. Freda's passenger Amber L. Shattuck, 35, of Susanville, CA, and Stark's passenger Ryan J. Harner, 28, of El Dorado Hills, CA, were transported by air ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.

The lanes of travel were blocked for approximately three hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

Idaho State Police was assisted by Twin Falls County Sheriff's Department.

Idaho State Police announces new deputy director

Following Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter's announcement of Lt. Col. Kedrick Wills as the next Idaho State Police director, Colonel Wills has designated his own replacement. The appointment of Major Sheldon Kelley as the ISP deputy director will become effective once Colonel Ralph Powell retires and Colonel Wills assumes his role as director on June 30.

Major Sheldon Kelley, a native of Rupert, Idaho, will assume his new rank of Lt. Colonel on July 2. He began his career with the Idaho State Police in 1997 following six years of service in the United States Army. After attending the Idaho Peace Officer Standards Training and ISP training academies, he was assigned as a resident trooper to the Gooding County area. In 2002, he was promoted to ISP District 3 (Treasure Valley) Investigations as a member of a narcotics investigation team. Maj. Kelley then took a position as a Sergeant in District 3 Patrol in 2008. He was promoted to District 3 Patrol lieutenant in 2010, Headquarters captain in 2012, and then to major in April 2016. He is proud to have served nine years on the ISP Honor Guard. Maj. Kelley holds a Bachelor's Degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver, possesses the POST Management Certificate, and is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, the FBI Executive Command College, and the FBI National Academy as a member of the 261st Session.

"Major Kelley is highly deserving of this promotion and I'm confident he'll handle his new role with the integrity and outstanding attention to detail for which he is well known throughout ISP and the Idaho law enforcement community," said Colonel Wills.

"I believe the men and women of the Idaho State Police are a group of incredibly smart, talented and dedicated people," Maj. Kelley said. "I am honored to be part of such a progressive and professional organization."

On Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 7:18 am, the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash eastbound on I84 at mile marker 49, just east of the Flying Wye.

Neal Farnworth, 54, of Nampa, ID, was driving eastbound on I84 on a 2017 Harley Davidson. Mary Romano, 19, of Nampa, was also eastbound in a 2016 Ford pickup. Romano was merging from the number 2 to the number 3 lane when she struck Farnworth. Farnworth and his motorcycle were separated and blocked several lanes of the interstate.

Farnworth was not wearing a helmet and was transported to St Alphonsus in Boise. The lanes of travel were blocked for approximately an hour and a half.

The investigation is ongoing by the Idaho State Police.

On June 8, 2017, at approximately 8:53 a.m., a single vehicle fatality crash occurred on Batiste (Frontage) Road at the Portneuf River, west of Chubbuck. A 1999 Ford Ranger, driven by Marc Tendoy, 22, of Fort Hall, was westbound on Batiste Road when he went off the left shoulder of the road, lost control and struck a tree on the bank of the Portneuf River. Tendoy and his two passengers; Shantel Martinez, 21, of Pocatello and Gralund Osborne, 33, of Pocatello, had to be extricated from the vehicle. Tendoy succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Martinez and Osborne were transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center. Tendoy and Osborne were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, Martinez was wearing her seatbelt. Notification of the next of kin has been made.

On Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at 3:11pm, the Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash on US95 at mile marker 137, near Council, ID.

Evert Miller, 79, of Council, ID, was driving northbound on US95 in a 2017 Chrysler 200. Miller attempted to turn into the chain up area. Edith Schwartz, 82, of Council, ID, driving northbound on US95 in a 2007 Subaru Legacy, struck Miller's vehicle from behind. Miller's vehicle was pushed into the southbound lanes, colliding with a 2014 Ford Escape traveling southbound on US95, driven by Corinna Boatright, 51, of Meridian, ID,. Boatright's vehicle slid sideways, rolled over, and came to a rest on its wheels.

Evert Miller was transported by ground ambulance to Weiser Memorial Hospital in Weiser, ID. Lorraine Miller, 77, of Council, ID, a passenger in Miller's vehicle, was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, in Boise, ID. Schwartz and Boatright were not transported.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts. The lanes of travel were blocked for approximately two and a half hours.

James Dawson, 72, of Hailey was riding a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on US-93. Arthur Smith, 76, of Seaside, Oregon, driving a 2002 Jamboree motorhome, pulled out of a parking lot turning onto the southbound lanes. The vehicles collided and Dawson was ejected.

Dawson was not wearing a helmet and was transported via air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Smith and his passenger, Pati Smith, 78, of Seaside, Oregon, were wearing seatbelts and were not transported.

The southbound lanes were blocked for approximately two and a half hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police with assistance at the scene by the Jerome County Sheriff's Office.

**CORRECTED RELEASE**

On June 5th, at 11:22 AM, near the north entrance to the Clearwater River Casino (US95 mile post 307.9), a four vehicle crash occurred. Karen Wing (64 year old female of Clarkston, WA) was facing south on US95 and was about to turn left onto Nez Perce Drive when Dennis Hayes (68 year old male of Lenore, ID) impacted Wing to the rear of the vehicle. Both drivers decided to move their vehicles off the highway. Wing proceeded onto Nez Perce drive. Heather Morton (24 year old female of Orofino, ID), traveling northbound on US95, was impacted by Hayes on the driver's side. Morton then impacted Jacob Whiteplume (47 year old male of Lapwai, ID), who was waiting to turn right onto northbound US95. Morton and two of the passengers were transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center where they were treated and released for minor injuries. Wing and Whiteplume were uninjured. Hayes was uninjured and was cited and released for reckless driving. Investigation continues.
