On June 21, 2015, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a vehicle fire northbound on Interstate 15 near milepost 70, just north of the Clark Street exit in Pocatello. Kelly Cook, 31, of Eureka, Utah, was traveling north on Interstate 15 in a 2006 GMC Sierra pulling a Fleetwood 5th wheel camper trailer, when the trailer caught fire. The vehicle slowed to stop on the right shoulder near the Clark Street on-ramp. The pickup was not damaged in the fire, but the camper trailer had severe damage. The right lane of the onramp, as well as the right lane of the interstate, was blocked for approximately one hour as fire and law enforcement worked to clear the scene. There were no injuries.
