Injury Crash at US20/26 and Northside Blvd.

At approximately 4:20 pm on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, Idaho State Police investigated a three vehicle injury crash on US20/26 at Northside Blvd. Celina Arias, 42 years of age, of Caldwell, was traveling westbound on US20 in a 1987 Honda Accord and stopped in traffic. A 1989 Ford pickup being driven by Clayton Anderson, 16 years of age, from Emmett, attempted to stop behind her when he lost control and his vehicle went sideways. Anderson's vehicle was struck in the eastbound lane by a 2002 Ford pickup, driven by Dolores Waite, age 56 of Caldwell. Arias, Waite, Anderson and 2 passengers in his vehicle were transported to local hospitals where they were all treated and released with minor injuries. Airbags were deployed and seatbelts worn by Arias and Waite. It is unknown whether anyone in Anderson's vehicle were wearing seatbelts. Alcohol was not a factor in this crash. US20 was closed for approximately 2 hours. The crash remains under investigation by Cpl. Robertson. Cpl. Robertson was assisted at the scene by Trooper J. Klitch, as well as Canyon County Deputies and EMS units and Idaho Transportation Department personnel.
