**FINAL UPDATE**

On Thursday, May 21, 2015, Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash on Interstate 15 at mile marker 20, just north of Malad. Stephanie Viteri, 21, of Herriman, Utah, was travelling northbound in a 2011 Nissan Altima. Viteri's vehicle struck a deer, disabling the vehicle in the right lane. Viteri's vehicle was struck from behind and pushed off to the right side of the roadway by a 2007 International tractor trailer hauling triple trailers, driven by Donald R House, 55, of Howe, Idaho. The cab of the semi and first trailer caught fire. House, Viteri and two other passengers were transported by ground ambulance to Oneida County Hospital in Malad.

Both northbound lanes were blocked for approximately 5 hours. At this time crews are still working to clear the scene and the right lane remains blocked.

The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
