On Monday, May 18, 2015, at approximately 5:53 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a vehicle versus bicycle crash at the intersection of Walker Street and Shelton Street in Parma. Miguel Mendoza, age 26, of Caldwell, was driving westbound on Walker Street in a 1992 Toyota Paseo. A juvenile was riding a bicycle southbound on Shelton Road. The juvenile failed to yield at the stop sign, and was struck by Mendoza. The juvenile was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

Mendoza was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The intersection of Walker Street and Shelton Street was blocked for approximately four hours. The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
