At approximately 2:35 pm on August 3, 2012, the Idaho State Police investigated a four vehicle non-injury crash eastbound on Interstate 86 near milepost 36 in a construction zone. Joseph Wilson, 32, of Pocatello, was driving a 1995 Chevrolet S10 pickup as a traffic control/construction vehicle through the single lane construction area. Cody Nesi, 27, of Salt Lake City, Utah, was following in a 2003 Toyota Camry. Both Cheryl Prince, 55, of Nampa, was following in a 2008 Honda Odyssey Van and Seth Adams, 32, of Boise, in a 2007 Peterbilt were behind Nesi and Wilson.

As Wilson led the vehicles through the construction area, he pulled out of the driving lane to allow traffic to continue so Wilson could work in the construction zone. Nesi and Prince followed his vehicle into the work area and came to a stop. Adams followed, but was not able to stop and struck the van which struck the Camry which struck the S10 pickup.

The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police.
