On August 16,2012, at approximately 5:27 am, the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle crash on 300 S, near 325 W in Jerome County.

Dustin Sullivan, 27, of Nampa, was driving a 2001 GMC Yukon westbound on 300 S, near 325 W. Jesus Contreras-Escobedo, 32, of Nyssa, Oregon, was driving a 2007 Komatsu WA320 front end loader, crossing 300 S, travelling northbound from one side of a dairy to the other. Contreras-Escobedo did not see Sullivan's vehicle, which collided with Contreras-Escobedo, as he started to cross the road. Sullivan impacted the front portion of the front end loader on the driver's side of the Yukon. Sullivan lost control, exited the road at the south road edge, and came to rest facing southwest on the side of the road.

Sullivan was taken by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The road was blocked for approximately three and a half hours. The crash remains under investigation.
