On August 8th, 2012, at approximately 5:30 pm, the Idaho State Police investigated a three-vehicle crash on US20 near 3650 East in Fremont County, near St. Anthony, Idaho. Gene K. Bauer, 85, of St. Anthony, Idaho, was driving south on 3650 East, in a Mercury sedan, while following a farm implement. The Mercury and the farm implement stopped at the intersection of 3650 East and US20. The farm implement crossed to the median and came to a stop, waiting for oncoming traffic to clear. Bauer followed the implement into the westbound lanes of traffic on US20. Mark Chandler, 54, of Ashton, Idaho, was driving west on US20 in the left lane, in a Toyota Camry. Chandler attempted to drive between the farm implement and Bauer's vehicle, and struck the front left bumper of Bauer's vehicle. The bumper of Bauer's vehicle was torn off, and landed in the westbound travel lanes. Raymond L. Horner Jr., 69, of Dillard Oregon, was riding on a BMW motorcycle, in the westbound lane of US20. Horner struck the bumper, and was thrown from his motorcycle. Horner was transported by ground ambulance to Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
