On Friday, August 27, 2021, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a crash involving a vehicle and a juvenile pedestrian. The incident occurred on Marble Front Rd. near Andrew Ct. just east of Indiana Ave. in Caldwell.

Zachary Mattulat, 32, of Caldwell, was traveling westbound on Marble Front Rd. in a 2002 Ford Escape. A juvenile riding an electric scooter was also traveling westbound on Marble Front Rd. The juvenile attempted to cross the road and was struck by the Ford.

The juvenile was not wearing a helmet and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.
This crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
