Collision at Hwy 55 and Dry Creek Rd injures two
--------------------------------------------------------------

Idaho State Police responded to a two-vehicle collision this morning on State Highway 55 in Ada County.

The incident was reported at 11:14 a.m. where Highway 55 meets Dry Creek Road. Investigating Troopers say the driver of a silver Chevy SUV was stopped on westbound Dry Creek Road and pulled onto Highway 55, colliding with a Dodge Ram pickup. The impact caused the pickup to overturn and land on its top just off the roadway.

The male driver of the pickup and a female passenger, both from Reno, Nevada, were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that on scene did not appear to be life-threatening. The driver of the SUV, a woman from Houston, Texas was not injured. She was cited by Troopers for inattentive driving, a misdemeanor, and for failing to yield at a stop sign, an infraction.

Traffic on Highway 55 was blocked in both directions for approximately 40 minutes to allow emergency responders to assist those involved.
