On Monday, December 10, 2018, at approximately 10:20 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 84 at milepost 45.5, in Meridian.

A juvenile driver was driving a 1987 Chevrolet pickup that had become disabled in the lane of travel. Steven McKee, 66, of Vale, Oregon was driving a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek westbound on Interstate 84. McKee's vehicle struck the rear of pickup.

The juvenile was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The juvenile was not wearing a seatbelt. McKee was wearing his seatbelt.

The lanes were blocked for approximately an hour and a half.
