Semi Truck Crash North of Malad

On Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 7:30 am, the Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle semi crash on Interstate 15, north of Malad, ID. Edwina Hulse, 35 from Chubbuck, ID, was driving a 2007 Volvo tractor and trailer south on I15 at mile marker 18, when the semi left the roadway. It swerved across the southbound lanes and into the median. It then went through the median and across the northbound lanes. After hitting the guardrail, the semi came to rest facing south on the northbound side, partially blocking the right lane. The right lane was blocked for approximately 5 hours. Hulse was transported by ground ambulance to Oneida County Hospital. It is unknown if Hulse was wearing a seatbelt. ISP was assisted by Oneida County Sheriff's Office and Oneida Fire and EMS. The crash is still under investigation.



Idaho State Police is investigating a semi crash on Interstate 15 at milepost 18, just north of Malad. The right lane of travel is blocked. Traffic is moving in the left lane. Use caution if driving in this area. Further information will be provided when it becomes available.
