On August 13, 2014, at 11:08 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash on State Highway 55 at milepost 58, south of Horseshoe Bend.

Clinton Johnson, 63, of Boise, was driving northbound in a 2007 Nissan Altima. Erin Kueneman, 35, of Star, was southbound in a 1991 Acura Legend.

Johnson was negotiating a right curve in the road, lost control of the vehicle and crossed into the northbound lanes, striking Kueneman's vehicle.
