On Friday, August 29, 2014, at 10:30 p.m. the Idaho State Police investigated a single vehicle crash on Interstate 86 at milepost 13.1 in Cassia County.

Jordan S. Clark, 16 years old of Boise, was driving east on Interstate 86 in a 2013 Honda Accord. Clark struck a moose, went off the right shoulder and rolled. His passengers, Norma Clark, 55 years old of Boise, and a female juvenile were also injured in the crash. The moose was killed on impact. The juvenile female was taken by air ambulance to Portneuf Regional Medical Center in Pocatello. The other occupants were taken by ground ambulance to Cassia Regional in Burley. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.

Eastbound lanes of Interstate 86 were blocked for approximately two hours. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
