On July 8, 2013, at 3:17 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated two crashes on Interstate 15, near mile marker 84, between Ft. Hall and Blackfoot, ID. Heather Tripp, 29, of Blackfoot, ID., was driving a 2000 Ford Focus north on Interstate 15, in the left lane. A vehicle in the right lane moved into the left lane and forced Tripp off the road into the median, where her vehicle rolled.

Tripp was wearing a seatbelt. She was transported by ground ambulance to Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot, ID.

Taylor Putnam, 22, of Pocatello, ID, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer north on Interstate 15, passing the first crash. Traffic had slowed. Putnam swerved off the road, into the median, to avoid striking the vehicle in front of him. Putnam's vehicle rolled and came to rest on its wheels.

Both Putnam and his passenger, Arin Esterbrook, 21, of Pocatello, ID. were wearing seatbelts. Neither Putnam nor Esterbrook were transported to the hospital.
