On Wednesday July 3, 2013, the Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash on US 30 at mile marker 226, near Kimberly. Salvador Centeno-Hernandez,58, of Kimberly was driving a small International farm tractor westbound. Izeak Ragains,19, of Kimberly was also westbound in a 1996 Kia Sephia. Ragains tried to slow for the tractor, his brakes failed and he tried to swerve into the other lane of travel to miss the tractor. Ragains lost control of his vehicle and side swiped the left side of the tractor, causing the passenger of the tractor, Raul Centano, 56, to be ejected. Centano and Centano Hernandez were transported by ground ambulance to St. Luke?s Magic Valley. Ragains was not wearing a seatbelt. The crash is still under investigation.
