On August 4, 2019, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated fully-engulfed vehicle fire in Interstate 15, near milepost 51, south of Inkom. The right-hand lane was blocked due to this incident for approximately 55 minutes. All travel lanes are now open.

Idaho State Police was assisted on scene by Bannock County Sheriff's Office, Bannock County Search and Rescue, and Inkom Fire Department.
