On Thursday, November 26, 2015, at approximately 11:10 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 15 at milepost 31, near Downey. A 2004 Volvo XC90, driven by Laurence Nelson, 57 of South Weber, Utah, was headed northbound when he struck the rear of an Idaho Transportation Department snowplow, driven by Travis Myler, 48 of Downey. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and were uninjured in the crash. The right lane was blocked for approximately one hour, while troopers investigated the crash.

At approximately 11:27 a.m., troopers responded to a single vehicle crash on the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 at milepost 84, south of Blackfoot. A 2001 Ford Ranger, driven by Trent Keepers, 46 of West Valley, Utah, was headed northbound when he lost control of his vehicle and went off the right side of the roadway, where the vehicle rolled onto its side. His passengers, Audrey Keepers, 56 of West Valley, UT and Georgianne Reyes, 73 of Layton, Utah, were transported to Bingham Memorial Hospital. Trent and Georgianne were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Audrey was not wearing her seatbelt. No lanes were blocked by the vehicles involved in this crash.

At approximately 12:14 p.m., troopers responded to two additional crashes on Interstate 15 at milepost 84, northbound. The first crash involved a 2010 Toyota Scion, driven by Jacob Klundt, 30 of Roy, UT. Klundt was headed northbound, and had slowed for traffic due to the previous crash when he was rear-ended by a 2005 Chrysler Cruiser, driven by Jacqueline Dawson-Sahene, 57 of Mill Creek, Utah. Dawson-Sahene was then rear-ended by a 2010 Dodge pickup, driven by Marcelino Sanchez, 60 of Heyburn, Idaho.

The second crash occurred as traffic continued to slow for the other crashes in the area. A 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Brandon Hope, 25 of Jerome, was rear-ended by a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by David Bissonnette, 45 of Twin Falls, who was then rear-ended by a 2012 Toyota Rav4, driven by Byron Molinari, 62 of Blackfoot.

Occupants from both crashes at milepost 84 were transported to Blackfoot Memorial and Portneuf Medical Center. No further information is available on those occupants at this time.

The northbound lanes of Interstate 15 from milepost 83 to 84 were partially blocked for approximately two hours while the crashes were investigated.
