On Thursday, November 19, 2015, at 5:03 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash on State Highway 33 at milepost 139.8, near Driggs. Val Casper, 67 of Driggs, was southbound in a 2001 Dodge Ram Laramie pickup. At the same time, a 1998 Volkswagen Passat was northbound at the same location. Casper lost control on snow covered roads and crossed over into the northbound lanes and collided with the Passat. Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt; both were taken by ground ambulance to Teton Valley Hospital in Driggs. The identity of the driver for the Passat is still being verified.

Both lanes of State Highway 33 were blocked for approximately 2 hours. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police with the assistance from Teton County Sheriff and Teton Valley EMS.
