On Friday, November 6, 2015, at approximately 7:20 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, injury crash, on Interstate 84 near the Middleton exit. Jeffery Richlin, 52, of Caldwell, and Anton Davis, 35, of Billings, Montana, were traveling westbound on Interstate 84 near exit 25. Richlin, travelling in a 1989 Toyota pickup, swerved to avoid debris in the roadway and lost control of his vehicle, hitting the median guardrail. His vehicle then entered the path of Davis, driving a 2000 Peterbilt semi-truck pulling a loaded car hauler. The two vehicles collided and the car hauler went through the guardrail, coming to rest on the North side of the median railing. During the crash, the car hauler lost one of the vehicles on its trailer.

Richlin was transported by ground ambulance to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.

Both westbound lanes of travel were blocked for approximately two hours.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
