On November 9, 2013, at approximately 1:40 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a motorcycle crash on State Highway 71 at milepost 28, near Cambridge. Jackie Whitlatch, age 50, of Cambridge, was traveling east on a 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle, when she drove off the right shoulder of the roadway and crashed.

Whitlatch was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus in Boise where she succumbed to her injuries from the crash. Next of kin has been notified. Whitlatch was not wearing a helmet. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
