On Thursday, September 15th, 2011 at 8:08 am, Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash eastbound I84 at milepost 48, between Cloverdale and Five Mile Road in Boise. Norma Cuevas Luna, 30 of Boise, was traveling eastbound in a 1996 Toyota Camry when traffic started to slow due to heavy morning traffic. Luna attempted to stop when she lost control of her vehicle and crossed in front of an empty tanker truck driven by Jeffrey Roundtree, 60 of Cambridge. Luna's vehicle was struck on the passenger side. Luna and her 3 children were transported to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. None of the children were restrained in the back of Luna's vehicle, it is unknown if Luna was wearing a seat belt. Roundtree was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured.
