On November 29, 2010 at approximately 8:19 a.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on US26 at milepost 341, east of Idaho Falls. A 17 year old female of Rigby, was headed westbound on US26, in her 1999 Oldsmobile Alero, when she lost control of her vehicle on the icy roads. The female's vehicle slid into the eastbound lane of traffic and was struck by a 2004 Ford Econoline Van, being driven by Justin Steel, age 36 of Blackfoot. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts and airbags did deploy. The juvenile female was extricated from her vehicle and transported to E.I.R.M.C. with serious injuries.
