On April 9, 2014 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle crash on I-86 near the Pocatello Airport. Lorin Floyd Barker, age 49, of Pocatello, was traveling east on I-86 when he drove into and across the median to the westbound lane. Barker steered back toward the median and the vehicle overturned. Barker was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. Barker was taken by Life Flight to Portneuf Medical Center.

All lanes of traffic were opened by 8 p.m. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Westbound left lane is still blocked and right lane is now open. Eastbound lanes are all open.

Idaho State Police is currently investigating a single vehicle crash I86 at milepost 54. The westbound lanes are currently blocked and more information will be released as it becomes available.
