Shortly before 11 AM today, April 19, 2013, the Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle injury crash on US30 at the intersection of State Highway 72 south of New Plymouth, ID. Johnathan Phillips, age 18 of New Plymouth, was driving south on US30 in a commercial vehicle when he overturned while attempting to turn east onto State Highway 72. Much of Phillips' load of dry fertilizer spilled on to the roadway. Highways 30 and 72 were both blocked for more than three and a half hours while the truck and the product were removed. Phillips was transported by ground ambulance to St. Alphonsus Hospital in Ontario,OR. The investigation is ongoing.
