On November 20th, 2010 at 8:47 am, Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle rollover crash westbound on I84 at mile post 258, near the Sweetser Summit.
Roberto Moreno, 56, of Hermiston, Oregon was traveling westbound on I84 in a 2001 Chevy Silverado pickup when he lost control of his vehicle. The driving speed was too fast for the snowy and icy conditions, causing the vehicle to roll into the median.

Roberto Moreno, his wife Digna Moreno, 53, also of Hermiston, and their daughter Leonnela Moreno, 12, of Hermiston were all transported to Cassia Regional Medical Center with minor to severe injuries. Both driver and passengers were wearing seatbelts at the time of crash. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor. At approximately 3:30 pm, Leonnela Moreno succumbed to her injuries sustained in the crash.

The crash is still under investigation by Sgt. Thompson. He was assisted at the scene by Cpl. D. Gibbs, Cassia County Deputies, Cassia County Medical Personnel, and the Idaho Transportation Department.
