*****BEGINNING OF UPDATE*****

On Saturday, August 6, 2016 at approximately 6:28 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a single-vehicle, fatality crash on Forest Service road 010, 7.6 miles from the intersection with Forest Service road 094 in Camas County.

Martin Quispe, 75, of Bellevue, was driving on Forest Service road 010 in a 1994 Ford F-150. Quispe failed to negotiate a curve in the road, and the Ford went off the road and rolled down an embankment. The Ford came to rest upright approximately 125 feet from the roadway.

Neither Quispe nor his passenger, Ayde Quispe, 53, of Bellevue, were wearing seatbelts. Martin Quispe was transported to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise by air ambulance. Ayde Quispe succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. Next of kin has been notified.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

The Idaho State Police are investigating a single-vehicle, fatality crash on Forest Service Road 010 near Couch Summit in Camas County. The vehicle left the roadway and came to rest approximately 125 feet down an embankment. Crews are on scene working to recover the vehicle at this time.
