On August 12, 2011, at approximately 10:28 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle injury crash on SH95 at milepost 139, at Lappin Lane in Adams County. Jaime Young, 23 of Council, ID, and a passenger were traveling northbound on US95, on a 1985 Yamaha ATV with no lights on. Hector Sein, 39 of Nampa, ID, and his passenger, Robert Barnhill, 26 of Nampa, ID, were traveling northbound in a 1987 GMC Safari Van. Sein locked up his breaks in an attempt to miss hitting Young. The vehicles collided, sending Young and her passenger into the barrow pit, ejecting them from the ATV. Young and her passenger were transported by ground ambulance to Weiser Memorial Hospital in Weiser and were later air lifted to St Alphonsus in Boise. Young and her passenger were not wearing helmets and alcohol is possibly a factor. Sein and Barnhill were not injured and were wearing their seat belts.

The crash is under investigation by Corporal Boll and assisted at the scene by Adams County Sheriff's Office and EMS personnel.
