At approximately 12:19 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle crash eastbound on State Highway 25 in the city of Hazelton. Lisa Hensdell,44,of Hazleton, was driving in a 1993 Ford Probe. She swerved to the right and struck a fourteen year old male walking along side the roadway. The male's body broke through the windshield of Hensdell's vehicle and then was thrown from the vehicle to the side of the roadway. Hensdell left the scene of the crash claiming she knew she hit something but she did not know what it was. The fourteen year old male was transported to St. Lukes Magic Valley Regional Medical Center where he is being treated for full body trauma. The crash is still under investigation by Sergeant Thompson who was assisted at the scene by Corporal S. Walker, Trooper Dahl, Trooper Wendler as well as a Jerome County Deputy and EMS personnel.
