Idaho State Police are investigating a single vehicle fatality collision that occurred at 8:39 p.m., on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the westbound I-84 milepost 13 off ramp, the US-30 New Plymouth exit, in Payette County.

A 60-year-old male of Caldwell was driving a 1988 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on I-84. The motorcyclist was riding at a high rate of speed when he attempted to exit at milepost 13 using the off ramp. He lost control and drove off the left shoulder where the motorcycle came to rest. The male succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The rider was not wearing a helmet.

The westbound I-84 off ramp at milepost 13 was blocked for approximately two and a half hours.

The incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
