At 10:16 a.m. this morning, October 19, 2017, the Idaho State Police investigated a vehicle versus pedestrian injury crash northbound on I15 at milepost 64, one mile north of the Portneuf Rd. or Fort Hall Mine Rd. exit. Gary Woodward, age 72, of Cardston, Albeta, Canada, was driving northbound in a Peterbuilt truck. Shannon McKinney, age 39 of Pocatello was on foot near milepost 64 when she entered the roadway and was struck by Woodward's Peterbuilt. McKinney was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. Northbound traffic was blocked for several minutes while Emergency Medical Services responded. The incident is under investigation at this time.
