MERIDIAN - Idaho's Missing Persons Clearinghouse and the Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification invites Idaho's fifth graders to enter the 2015 National Missing Children Poster Contest.
The United States Department of Justice sponsors this annual program to bring awareness to the issue of missing children, child safety and the AMBER Alert Program. The contest raises awareness about child safety and exhibits America's effort to bring missing children home safely while highlighting the importance of education programs focused on prevention. Student involvement in the poster contest promotes peer education, while inviting students to explore and understand the theme "Bring Our Missing Children Home."

Contest details, application forms, and an activity guide for 1st through 5th grades are available on the Idaho Missing Person Clearinghouse website at isp.idaho.gov/BCI under the Missing Person Clearinghouse Tab or by calling the Missing Persons Clearinghouse at 208-884-7137. Entries are due no later than February 27, 2015 and the winner will be announced March 6, 2015.

The winning Idaho poster will then be entered into the national contest for judging. The national winner along with their teacher and parents will travel to Washington, D.C., to receive an award and participate in the Missing Children's Day ceremony on May 25, 2015.

The 2014 poster contest national winner was Dawson Mack from Athens, Alabama.
