On Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at approximately 7:44 a.m. the Idaho State Police investigated a two- vehicle crash on Interstate 84 at milepost 257, near Sweetzer Summit. Callum Read, 21, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was driving eastbound on Interstate 84 in a 2005 Toyota Tundra, pulling a small U-Haul trailer. Callum lost control of the vehicle on the icy roadway and rolled across the median, into the westbound traffic lanes where he was struck by Paul Curch-Doyle, 31, of North Port, Florida, who was driving westbound in a 2015 Freightliner.

Callum and his passenger, Lily Hawley, 20, of Carson, New Mexico, were transported by ground ambulance to Cassia Regional Medical Center in Burley.
