On June 6, 2013, at approximately 3:20 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle property damage crash on US95 at milepost 173, twelve miles north of New Meadows. James Sendall, 40, of West Jordan, Utah, was traveling southbound in a 2012 Volvo commercial vehicle pulling a trailer. Sendall drove off the right shoulder of the roadway, lost control of his vehicle and overturned, coming to rest in the southbound lane of travel.

Sendall was wearing a seatbelt. The southbound lane of travel was blocked for approximately seven hours while crews worked to clear the scene. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
