On June 18, 2013, at approximately 3:15 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle fatality crash on State Highway 28 at milepost 105, in Lemhi County, just south of Lemhi. Glen McRae Jr., 23 of Rexburg, was traveling north in a 1998 International tractor hauling a trailer with a pup trailer. McRae Jr. drove off the right shoulder of the roadway and overturned his vehicle. Fertilizer and diesel from the trailer spilled into the marsh and was determined to be inert. Lemhi Fire and Rescue was able to contain the spill.

When law enforcement and medics arrived at the scene of the crash, McRae Jr. was pronounced deceased. Next of kin has been notified. Idaho State Police were assisted by Lemhi County Sheriff's Office, Lemhi Fire and Rescue, and Department of Fish and Game. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
