On June 19, 2013, at approximately 5:07 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated an injury crash on U.S Highway 20 near Rigby.

Cristin G. Ellis, 38 years old of Rigby, was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Camaro east on U.S Highway 20 near Rigby. Ellis crossed through the median and struck a 2003 Audi AA4 driven by Jeffery W. Banks, 49 of Idaho Falls, at milepost 317 on the west bound side of U.S. Highway 20.

Ellis was transported by ambulance to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Banks was not transported. The right lane of westbound U.S. Highway 20 was blocked for approximately one hour. This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

The Idaho State Police are currently investigating an injury crash on U.S. Highway 20 at milepost 317, near Rigby. Westbound traffic has been reduced to one lane. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area until the crash has been cleared. More updates will be released as they become available.
