Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred on October 23nd, 2022, at 12:03 AM at Kimbell Ave. and E. Chicago St. in Canyon County.

A 31-year-old male of Caldwell, was driving a 2003 Chevy Silverado northbound on Kimbell Ave. A Caldwell Police officer was driving a 2018 Ford Explorer driving westbound on E. Chicago St. The driver of the Chevy Silverado failed to stop at the stop sign and struck the Ford Explorer.

The Caldwell Police officer was transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance.

The Caldwell Police officer was wearing a seatbelt.

This incident is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
