On April 3,2021 at approximately 11:30 pm, the driver of a 2016 GMC Sierra pickup truck, Christopher J. Nusz, 50 year old male of Smelterville, Idaho,? was driving southbound on US 95 near milepost 451, when the vehicle crossed over both lanes of traffic, went through the center median, crossed over both northbound lanes, ran off the shoulder and momentarily went airborne before finally coming to rest in the middle of N. Williams Ln in Kootenai County. The driver was trapped in the vehicle and required extrication by medical personnel. Life Flight Network was launched and the driver was transported to Kootenai Health. Mr. Nusz was not wearing his seatbelt. The investigation is ongoing.
