On December 21, 2012, at approximately 5:20 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on US93 at 400 South, Jerome County.

Jose J. Zarazua Zavala, 60, Twin Falls, ID, was traveling west on 400 South in a 2003 Dodge Durango. Antonio H. Gomes, 17, Twin Falls, ID, was traveling north on US93 in a 1990 Chevrolet Sport Van. Zarazua Zavala failed to stop at the stop sign on 400 South, striking the passenger side of Gomes's vehicle.

Both lanes on US93 were blocked for an hour and a half while the Idaho State Police investigated; both lanes were re-opened to normal traffic around 9:00 p.m.

The crash is still under investigation by Idaho State Police.

The Idaho State Police is investigating a one vehicle crash on US 93 at 400 South just north of Exit 173. Both north and southbound lanes are blocked at this time and traffic is being diverted onto side roads. It is asked that drivers avoid this area if at all possible until the crash can be cleared.
