On Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at approximately 4:30 p.m. the Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash which caused multiple injuries on Bob Barton Road in Gooding County.

Tina Tarchione, 42 of Twin Falls, was east bound on Bob Barton Road turning left into a private driveway near 2000 East Road in Gooding County. She turned into the path of an east bound semi-tractor pulling a trailer. The driver of the tractor-trailer, Wayne Campbell, 61 of Boise, tried to avoid colliding with Tarchione's vehicle initially by moving over into the westbound lane of travel but struck the driver's side of Tarchione's vehicle.

Tarchione and five children in her vehicle were all injured and transported to hospitals. The five children are Isabel Trachione, 11, Sophie Trachione, 8, Ben Tarchione, 6, Seth Dwit, 9, and Avery Dwit, 6. Ben Tarchione was flown by air-ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise with more serious injuries. Tina Tarchione and the four remaining children were transported by ground ambulance to Saint Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls with non-life threatening injuries. Campbell was not injured.

The crash is still under investigation by Trooper DeBie. He was assisted by Sgt. K. Oliver, Commercial Vehicle Specialist K. Winn, and Trooper C. Clausing, along with deputies and medical personnel from Twin Falls, Jerome and Gooding counties, and Wendell Police Department.
