INCIDENT INFORMATION: A cow elk was in the roadway and hit by the vehicle driven by Mellen causing it to roll over the hood of the vehicle and through the windshield. The elk then split in half and was hit by the second vehicle driven by Stewart. None of the occupants in the vehicle driven by Mellen were wearing seatbelts.
