Multi-vehicle injury crash near Montpelier

***Update***
On November 27, 2012 at approximately 6:08 p.m., the Idaho State Police investigated a multi-vehicle crash on US Highway 30 at mile marker 432.5 near the Ranch Hand truck stop.
Amber Sperl, 34 of Bennington, failed to yield to traffic while entering US Highway 30. She was then struck by John Cunningham, 50 of Afton, Wyoming, who was driving eastbound on US 30 in a 2007 Dodge pickup. Both cars ended up blocking the westbound lane of travel. Cunningham was then struck by Austin Athay, 19 of Bennington, who was also traveling westbound in a 2007 Pontiac G6. Ryan Sommer, 21 of Montpelier, was traveling westbound in a 2001 Chevrolet pickup and struck the side of Cunningham's vehicle.
Sperl and her juvenile passenger, Cunningham and Sommer were all transported to Bear Lake Memorial hospital. Sperl was later transferred to another medical facility. All parties were wearing their seatbelts and alcohol was not believed to be involved in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

Idaho State Police is currently investigating a three vehicle crash on US Highway 30 at mile marker 432 near the Ranch Hand truck stop in Montpelier. The westbound lane is currently blocked, but traffic is able to get around the crash scene. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area.
