Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred Saturday, July 17th, at approximately 10:14 PM, on Highway 95 at milepost 500.5 just south of Bonners Ferry, in Boundary County.

A white 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 30-year-old female from Cocolalla, Idaho was traveling northbound on Highway 95 when a 2004 white Toyota Highlander driven by a 28-year-old male from Coeur D? Alene, Idaho was traveling southbound on Highway 95, crossed over the painted double yellow center line colliding with the Silverado head on.

The Driver of the Silverado was wearing her seatbelt and was transported to the hospital via ground ambulance. The Driver of the Toyota was wearing his seatbelt and was deceased on scene.

Next of kin has been notified

The roadway was blocked for approximately 4 and a half hours to allow emergency responders to help those involved.

The incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
