The Idaho State Police is investigating a two-vehicle collision that occurred just before 2:33 pm on June 4th, 2022, in Bonner County, Idaho. The crash occurred on State Highway 57 near mile post 21, just south of Priest Lake. A 41-year-old male, from Priest River, Idaho, was driving a gray 1998 Mazda pickup, northbound on State Highway 57, when he went left of center and entered the southbound lane. A 44-year-old man, from Coeur d?Alene, Idaho, driving a gray 2021 Ford F150 pulling a trail trailer, was traveling southbound on State Highway 57. The two vehicles collided head-on, on a curve in the roadway. The driver of the Mazda pickup succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt. The driver of the Ford was wearing a seat belt and had non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police. Notifications have been made to next of kin.
