Idaho State Police is investigating an injury vehicle collision that occurred at 2:37 p.m., on January 20th, 2022, southbound on US-95 near milepost 111, south of Cambridge, in Washington County.

A 36-year-old male driving a Volkswagen Atlas and a 34-year-old male driving Peterbilt Semi pulling a single trailer, were stopped on southbound US-95 for a prior crash. A Cadillac Escalade driven by a 53-year-old female, failed to stop. She attempted to avoid crashing by driving onto the right shoulder between the jersey barrier and the Peterbilt. The Cadillac sideswiped the Peterbilt, then struck the back of the Volkswagen. A 63-year-old female driving a Honda CR-V struck the back of the Peterbilt's trailer, which wedged the Honda sideways between the jersey barrier and the trailer. A Ford F150 pickup driven by a 22-year-old male then struck the Honda.

The female driver of the Honda CR-V was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital.

All persons involved were wearing seat belts.

The southbound lanes were blocked for approximately three hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

This incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
