Idaho State Police is investigating a fatal vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 2:12 p.m., on December 30, 2021, on Karcher Road near S. Indiana Avenue, in Canyon County.

A 32-year-old male from Nampa, Idaho, was driving a Ford F250 pickup westbound on Karcher Road. A 30-year-old male from Centennial, Colorado, was driving a Freightliner Semi pulling two trailers eastbound on Karcher Road. The preliminary investigation indicates the Ford F250 crossed the center line colliding with the Freightliner head-on. The driver of the Ford F250 succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Working with the Canyon County Coroner, next of kin have been notified. The driver of the Ford F250 was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the Freightliner was wearing a seatbelt.

The roadway was blocked for approximately six hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
